I'm giving 5stars to the accy branch. I find that the people who work here are always trying their best. The General Manager is always professional and strives for all concerned. Some very good team players here.

Polite, helpful staff. They replaced a broken drawer front for the freezer and supplied me with brackets that connect to the cupboard & fridge so that they open together. All this for no charge. Thank you.

Flooring didn't arrive on time, when queried the female on the phone was unapologetic and disrespectful. Sent it 5 days later when I was no longer at the address, if you have to use Howdens I'd try a different branch.

Did my kitchen plan . All seemed good. I had to email a few times to get my plan sent. The plan was completely wrong. I had to email quite a few times to get it right. I got the quote for everything at £3600. Which seemed a little on the expensive side as there was a sale on. I ordered the kitchen. some of it turned up , some of it didn't. My joiner ended up waiting a week for all the stuff to be delivered. We then realised, end panels, under unit lights, worktop bolts, splashback, upstands were all missing and a wrong cupboard had been sent. My worktop was also damaged. When I complained, I was told to "go to b&q next time". The kitchen was completed and I went down to pay my bill which was almost £400 more than I was quoted. The only person who is worth their salt at the Accrington branch is Sarah, who tried hard to get things right. I would never use howdens again and would definitely take the advice of going to b&q. I would recommend anyone else to do the same. I got my last kitchen from b&q and it all got delivered right 1st time. Also, the quote I received was the price I paid. I had budgeted for £3600 not £4000. Howdens should have stood the cost as it was their error. One more complaint was I asked for an integrated fridge specifically with an ice box. I probably don't need to tell you what they sent instead.
Very displeased, hence the 2*. If it wasn't for Sarah, it would be 1. Only because I can't give a zero.

Had my kitchen designed by Puneet at Howdens in Accrington, he did an amazing job, great design and even discussed to me what wouldnt work in my house which I wanted and Im really happy he put his skills and experience forward because Im really happy with how it was designed. I then had to get a seperate contractor joiner to fit which Howdens provide, a man who worked there pushed Ryan joinery which was at the top of the list of joiners and really pushed him. Ryan joinery is the most unprofessional workman I had working on my house. He agreed to the job but was so difficult to get hold of, he was so busy with work he literally threw my kitchen up in a day making mistakes as chipping my cupboard(which he said he would replace and hasnt) doors and handles not aligning(easy fix) my worktops full of glue and look tacky. He quoted to plumb my appliances in and he hadnt and then tried getting out of which luckily I still had the messages. My extractor fan isnt fitted and I will not even be bothering ringing Ryan joinery, Id just rather sort it out myself. My washing machine just last night bounced out of place because it hasnt been fitted right. Generally speaking, very unhappy with how my kitchen was fitted but great design. Next time, I wont be using howdens, ill be using a company that designs and fits so that I dont have a contractor ignoring.

Be careful at the Accrington branch, you think you have covered everything in the design meeting and upon installation have quite a few things wrong. Once fitted, they blame the installer and there is nothing you can do due to the terms and conditions as they should know everything you choose. Hey presto, you have a kitchen that isn't what you wanted until you can afford to refit it. I would recommend going to a different Howden's store than this one. Even the local fitter I know in Accrington goes out of town to buy Howden stuff.
