Staff were helpful and delivery was fast but materials were awful.
What ever you do, dont buy timber from Huws Gray.
Bought timber to build a gazebo and every length was warped. even a 100m fence post i bought was so bent, if i threw it away it would have come back!
I'll be going elsewhere in future

My needs don't run to en-suite bathrooms, just a DIY type of guy. I've been going to the Buildbase Haverhill branch for 15/20 years for odds and ends. Screws, bolts, panels, posts, doors, paint etc. You get the picture ever since it dawned on me you don't have to be in the trade buying in bulk to buy from them and have at all times been met with courtesy, kindness, tolerance, helpfulness and understanding.

So 5 star. I would be lost without them on my doorstep. Mike

Rude and dismissive counter staff. Was third in the queue and having stood there for in excess of 15 minutes whilst FIVE back room staff sat either on the phone or chatting and drinking tea and occasionally glancing up at the queue and doing nothing to help. After asking for what I needed the guy just said "no, sorry we haven't got it" and more or less waived me away and started serving the guy behind, who he obviously knew very well. Will go to MKM in future as my custom is always appreciated there. PBM used to be a great family run company, no more. Real shame.

Clearly PBM Buildbase are doing very well and don't want my money!
We visited their showroom a couple of weeks ago to enquire about a total re-fit of our en-suite bathroom, with a budget of circa £6k. We left 2 messages for the design consultant to call us and have head nothing!! Really poor customer service, and they clearly do not care about getting new customers! We won’t be using them for anything else in future and we have now got a number of better companies, that actually care about customer service providing us with some quotes to carry out the en-suite re-fit!

I have used buildbase a few times and found that if you are a regular they are so helpful. I am not a regular so it felt like I was an inconvenience for them. Especially out in the yard where I had to pick up materials. They guys were rude and not very helpful I do not use them anymore MKM is much better in every way

Bought a kitchen from build base a few problems witch you get now and again but new manager Steve and Peter Loftus were brilliant all ways at the end of the phone and sorted any issues can not thank them enough sale man David Edenbrow all ways answered the phone if l had problems with kitchen got the kitchen we wanted love it
