Installing solar panels to supply a grade II listed building was never going to be straightforward. It required a complete update of the house electrical system to meet modern standards, change of supply as well as installation of a battery and solar panels. Josh knows his subject and made good recommendations. He showed us how to use the app and we are very pleased with what the system can achieve. We also had his team install ethernet, wired smoke alarm, all lighting and underfloor heating to a modern extension. Our electrics are now up to date and with potential to add EV charging later. After sales customer service is essential for this type of installation, and Josh, Keegan and Tyler rectified any issues we encountered- hence five stars.

The roof on our 200 year old house was leaking like a sieve in heavy rain, so we booked Josh (having seen him recommended locally) to manage the removal of our existing 22 panel solar array, arrange a complete re-roof of the rear of the house, then re-install the existing solar panels into in-roof trays (instead of on rails as before).

We are really pleased with the outcome - notably there was a supply issue with the in-roof solar trays that were ordered, which became unexpectedly stuck in France on a 40 day hold which would have meant a significant delay to work already in progress. Before making me aware of this issue, Josh already had a solution to present - supplying an array of brand new panels that would fit trays in UK stock and at no additional cost (actually reducing the overall cost as a brand new solar install qualified for VAT exemption.) Very pleased that Josh didn't come to us with a problem, but a solution that allowed him to continue, and delivered a better than expected end result for us.

Josh also highlighted some poor workmanship with our previous solar install completed by another company - some of which likely contributed to our property needing to be re-roofed. This was interesting to see.

The roofers that Josh worked with (ML Roofing) are fantastic - great team and completed the re-roof to a high standard.

We would recommend Josh and his team. This is the first time we have used Josh / JLB but overall a positive experience and very pleased with the work that he has delivered. Thanks Josh!

Josh at J.L.B is amazing. He initially installed a new light fixture and I was not disappointed with the price, friendly service and professionalism.

I live in an old home with lots of electrical needs and I have had two further issues; both late at night. The first was resolved after I messaged Josh with photos of our circuit board and the issue that I was having. He patiently talked me through what I needed to do and the issue was resolved within a few minutes.

Last night I sent an urgent request at 9:15pm as I had no power to any of the plug sockets in our house, knowing that I have three children and how much disruption it would cause me, Josh offered to come immediately. He arrived shortly after, fixed the issue and we had the power back on by 9:59pm - what a star!

Josh really knows his stuff; he is a really competent electrician, whats more he is kind, gracious and he is everything you could ask for in a professional tradesman. Everything he does gives me total peace of mind. I would highly recommend his services.

We were really happy with the service from JLB - they did all the electrical work on our recent extension build. Josh and his team were professional and helpful throughout our project, and came up with some great ideas and solutions - for example the LED ceiling lighting in our en-suite bedroom.
