Constantly closing sections of the centre causing huge queues within the queuing/ filter system without communication that to people entering the site. Zero appreciation that people may not have 45 mins to sit in a queue that they are unable to get out of. Shrug their shoulders and standing around looking at their phones rather than informing people coming in. Happens all the time. Have had a few of them kindly helping with locating appropriate bins but overall the experience at this centre is terrible due to lack of communication and constant shutting down of the system in a way that is impossible to know before you drive in and are committed to waiting for huge amounts of time

Popped up today at 4.06 on a Sunday. Site closed, no sign or apology for closure. Left with a car full of wood that I’d rushed to get there before 4.30 closing. Thanks a bloody bunch. It was raining slightly so not a good reason for closure is it 😖😖😖

Sat there in a queue 7/3/24, at lunchtime for at least 15 minutes in the compound waiting to move! It would've been nice if someone had come round to say why we were all stuck!

This morning when the Recycling Centre Shop finally opened this morning at 9am. There is one statement to describe this experience " what an absolute disgrace". I was one of the first cars to enter the recycling centre this morning. When I arrived at the car park area, people where bumping passengers left right and centre. I myself was on my own who had waited patiently to be instructed on where to park. I was then told that the car park was full and I had to drive round the centre again. After following their instructions and waiting 15 minutes, I was told I could no longer wait and I had to leave. I had multiple staff members giving me wrong information which only increased my frustration.

For reasons unknown to me they had socially distanced the carpark so only four cars could actually use the bays. This practise had not been done through any of the other lockdown. The public with common sense know how to park and socially distance. So this action made by the Recycling Centre was a complete disaster.

Considering all customers service environments, the rule of thumb has always been first come, first served. There was no sensible or realistic planning put in place. Whom ever was incharge of this reopening has very little organisational skills and they do not reward customers who follow the rules and instructions which only encourages people to behave poorly and to not follow the guidelines.

The people based there are friendly and helpful. They will direct you to the right places to dispose your rubbish if you are uncertain.

Rude unhelpful staff, charged my elderly farther to dump a few bags of soil, once unloaded staff refused to help a 80 year old man load it into the skips and told him it would be fly tipping if he left the rubbish he PAID to get rid off then also told him he had to put it in the garden waste not the soil skips, so what exactly did they charge him for

This centre USED to be FANTASTIC!! However, it's now incredibly disheartening to see many items that I'd previously purchased then re-donated, behind sold at a much higher price than first bought from the centre. I once raised this issue to be told that the centre needed to "make money", so therefore why shouldn't they ask for the "real" prices. I know that many people purchase from recycling due to the fact that they simply have a tiny budget - at this rate, it'll be cheaper to buy new from Home Bargains up the road!!!
