I had Leoht install my solar panels in August and it is probably the best investment I have ever made. Thomas designed a much more powerful system for me than the other companies from whom I’d had quotes, for not that much more outlay. Having done a lot of online research into different makes of panels/batteries/inverters and what to look out for, I knew that the ones Leoht was using are high quality and reliable. When it came to the installation, both Kyle and Dan were knowledgeable, courteous and tidy and the whole thing went very smoothly. The after sales service is amazing - Thomas personally answered my queries within the hour, even on a Sunday and was patient and helpful throughout. I was pretty much off grid electricity-wise from the get-go and received a nice refund from my energy company at Christmas due to the direct debit payments now being too high. And already in March, with the increase in daylight hours, I am already breaking even despite all the cloud and rain. A very satisfied customer all round.

The summer of 2022 has been great for "free" energy! So much sun! Our panels went up in May and after a short delay, we had the inverter and battery fitted so we could store excess solar energy. Thomas impressed us with his very informative and educational website and was very quick to get back to us when I called. He stayed in touch through the process and his new team is helpful and professional. The care taken in our house was appreciated- shoes off or worn with protective covers and he ensures everything is left clean and tidy on completion. We are happy to help in a small way to reduce our use of energy from the grid ( better for the environment) and Thomas's website educates you to use only solar energy by using appliances in a systematic way making it more economical. By chance we had our panels fitted shortly before the surge in high energy price increases and we are very happy that we invested in solar with LEOHT. We have recommended Thomas to our family and friends.
Update: After seeing the benefits of reduced electricity bills with our original panels, we decided to get more panels on the roof of our garden room and 8 panels were duly fitted in July 2023 with an upgraded inverter to cope with the extra panels. We were delighted to find that we had several days in the summer when over 30kW of energy was generated though typically it was more like 20kW and as we only use about 6kW, we were able to store upto 5kW in the battery and by using Octopus energy , we could return unused energy back to the grid from which we got money back! As the rate of return can vary we estimate we will get back £700 to £1000 this year which is a great bonus.
We also save a lot of money by charging our electric car so no fuel costs either and use appliances as advised by Thomas's website .
Thomas has been available to contact throughout and I personally, like the contact with the same person rather than a host of unknown people. Because of our positive experience, my brother had LEOHT install panels at their house only a couple of months back.

Who to choose to install Solar and battery is something of a minefield. We were extremely pleased to come across Leoht. Although they hadn't been trading long Thomas gave us such confidence. His knowledge and patience in addressing our concerns were second to none. The quality of the work is of the highest standard which is maintained by NOT using sub contractors. Thomas is in my opinion a person of high moral standards who I believe is more concerned about doing the job correctly rather concerned about profit. For example they came back to sort out the bird guard on three occasions and eventually replaced the lot. Thomas is very competitive on price and he keeps us on his on his monitoring system for 5 years, this includes free advice about changes to energy providers tariffs. Leoht and, in particular, Thomas were of great help to us. We had an issue with our installation (45% less generation than expected), and our installer couldn't make heads or tails of it for almost 6 months. I described the situation to Thomas after finding Leoth when I started doing my own research, and within less than four hours he had identified the issue as well as gave me sound advise on how to fix it. I would recommend him anytime and kind of regret not having found him first. Leoht are absolute experts in solar systems and you can trust that they will choose the correct components to maximise your return from solar generation. It's much more complicated than one might think - which we learned the hard way.

After contacting several other solar installation companies, we decided to go with Leoht Solar, as they seemed the most efficient and reliable company.

We were very impressed with Thomas Moyes and his team. The panels and equipment arrived a couple of days before the installation.

Everything was fitted in one day and fully working the next day.

Since the installation in the middle of December we have already noticed that our electricity bill is less. On sunny days even in the winter we can charge the car, charge the battery, run several applicances like the washing machine and dishwasher and heat the hot water tank.

On cloudy days the panels still produce some power, which is enough to cover the basic electricity consumption.

We are very happy with our solar panel installation and the way that Leoht Solar has handled everything.
