Extremely Disappointed – Two Broken TVs and Zero Follow-Up

I’m beyond frustrated at this point!!! This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had with LG right now. My old LG TV broke, and on top of that, the delivery was a disaster. The drivers showed up with the new TV, but it couldn't fit in the lift with the box. Instead of helping unbox it or problem-solving (which they should have done), they refused to help and left me to deal with it, saying they were parked on double yellow lines and didn’t want to get a ticket. I paid for plug in and play service, and I ended up having to do everything myself — completely defeats the point of paying extra.

To make matters even worse, ive unboxed it downstairs at the bottom of my block with a crack in the NEW LG TV. I’ve been trying to speak to a manager since Friday – it’s now Wednesday and I haven’t heard anything back. No call, no email, nothing.

To top of it all off, the old broken TV is still sitting here, and the NEW LG TV is blocking a fire exit, which is a safety hazard. I’ve mentioned this to support more than once, and it seems like no one cares.

For a company of this size, Overall, LG’s service has been nothing short of disgraceful. I expected so much better from a major brand, and instead I’ve been left with no working TV, zero support, and a safety hazard in the managers office of the block.

Absolutely unacceptable.

Utterly Appalling customer service from LG. I would give them less than one star if i could. Our new washing machine flooded our kitchen twice within six weeks. LG denied the warranty based on a completely false engineers report claiming user error. Then tried to charge us for a new drum in the machine. A second LG engineer admitted he didn’t know what was wrong but found none of the first engineers points to be correct, proving the first report was completely false. Despite this, LG refused to replace the machine or accept any liability for potential damage to our property, simply stating that we should run the machine with towels around it. We were forced to buy a new machine, not LG I might add, to ensure we could wash our clothes at home. Incredibly poor handling, dismissive responses, and zero accountability. We have reported the case to the FSO to see if we can get resolution to this matter through arbitration. Avoid them unless you want an appalling level of customer service. I will never buy another LG product of any kind again or recommend them to anyone, in fact quite the opposite.

Virtually the same issue as most other people here - very expensive washing machine which is fine until it breaks. Then getting it fixed is an absolute nightmare, it’s customer service hell where loads of nice people just keep passing you through a system that does not work. Definitely won’t be buying any LG domestic products again because of this expensive and time wasting experience.

Good evening

Well that is not even close to the response I was expecting, this is obviously a white collar call, well as I am more than qualified to inspect the failing of this unit, I have noticed that this unit WAS going to fail from day one as the adhesive tape used to bond the glass to the unit was in fact applied incorrectly and this is exactly why this has failed, the fact this actually fell on my daughter and has left me without a TV, AT THE LEAST you could off offered me a new unit at a reduced price as this COULD of been a completely different story and you would of have a massive claim on your hands, the tape used to bond this glass is dry and has no tackiness to it at all AS ITS BEEN SLOWLY FAILING BECAUSE OF THE RIGHT HAND BOTTOM CORNER APPROX 200MM OF TAPE WAS NOT FITTED CORRECTLY. The screen is mounted in a media wall and its only by luck plastic trim has been holding this glass in place for some time, I find your response very disappointing, my daughter is a wiz on her social media and I actually stopped her from posting a vid of this near disaster, one of her posts has over a million views, lets just hope no one is watching them on an LG plasma tv.

So for your product LIABILTY which is obviously your main CONCERN and NOT the customer who has purchased MANY of YOUR PRODUCTS, I find this absoulutly shocking. I may ask my daughter to reconsider her thoughts on her thoughts on the video as the screen is still in place and the glass is still in one piece, EVERYTHING on the tv still works as it should, the unit was at fault by YOU the manufacturer from day one, old or not this unit should not have GLASS falling on to children after any amount of time.

My partner was actually telling me how calm I was about this situation, well I was until now shame on you LG, SHAME ON YOU!!!

Terrible Product & Even Worse Customer Service Avoid LG!

Order number - Bought from Hughes XA022175713 07/03/25

I purchased the LG WT1210BBTN1 12kg/10kg 1400rpm WashTower four moths ago just under £2000, it has been faulty longer than it has actually worked. Despite being under warranty, the customer service experience has been awful. It took weeks just to get an engineer out to assess the issue, and now I’m being told it will take another three weeks just to get the part needed for the repair! One of the engineers, out of the three concluded the repairs were too great for such a new machine and thus needed to be replaced.

For a brand new appliance, this is completely unacceptable. Replacing a pump and replacing a jockey wheel within four months of a new machine is absurd! Given how new it is and the amount of money spent, LG should be replacing it, not making me wait over a month for a fix.

The lack of urgency and poor customer service have been beyond frustrating. I expected better from a major brand, but this experience has been nothing short of a nightmare.

I would not recommend LG to anyone, save yourself the hassle, and go with a different brand!

Life is good WITHOUT LG. Absolutely terrible experience with LG. My LG fridge freezer suffered a compressor failure, which is a known issue with LG appliances (as seen in multiple class-action lawsuits in the USA). Despite the compressor being under warranty, LG refused to repair or provide a proper replacement. Instead, they offered me a depreciated settlement that doesn’t even cover the cost of buying a similar fridge.

I’ve spent weeks going back and forth, only to be told they cannot fix the fridge or offer a suitable alternative. Their customer service is unhelpful, and they refuse to take responsibility for a faulty product they manufactured. Now, I am left with no working fridge and have had to waste money on spoiled food.

If you’re considering buying an LG appliance, think twice! Their warranties are meaningless, and their service is appalling. Avoid LG at all costs!

Absolutely Appalling Quality and Customer Service!

I purchased a brand-new LG washer dryer in April 2024, expecting a premium product given the price. However, within just five months, the machine started leaking due to a hole in the inner tub. This serious defect caused significant water damage to items in my garage.

When I reported the issue, LG took a week to send an engineer, who confirmed the fault. Shockingly, despite the machine being under warranty and clearly defective, LG refused to provide a replacement. Instead, they insisted on a repair, which is unacceptable for a premium appliance that is practically new.

I expected better quality and customer service from a brand like LG, especially when dealing with such a major fault. It’s extremely disappointing that LG does not stand behind their products or prioritize customer satisfaction. I would NOT recommend LG to anyone, and I regret my decision to buy their product.
