Lidl, Lidl: so many bad and good things that are written about it. My personal perspective is that it's competitively priced, clean, has my essentials and I love the team there who are helpful and customer focused!

Nice Lidl shop, great for whilst shopping in St Anne’s. It has a lot of stock. The only thing I would say is that the layout is poor for when it gets busy. There are public toilets right next door though and a train+bus station nearby.

Recently visited this place, it’s too much crowded and messy. People using hands to pickup the bakery item. No space to shop or even move your shopping cart. They put many veggies in such crowded corner people can’t see the prices, some price tags are missing. Store was not clean, we saw many bakery items with bags on the floor, items are misplaced. Definitely they need more workers to take care of these things (because place is always full of customers). Always a big line for checkout.

Lidl is getting in the festive mood! Lots of foods and articles with great deals stacking up leading into December. Make sure you only going when it is quieter. So, mid afternoon or early evening during the week is best during the pandemic. Items are selling out a bit quicker but they are being restocked so do not panic buy!

Good stuff inside but very bad management. The tills are always closed, you can only use the automatic, and if you are lucky enough to come at the only hour of the day where it’s open, the staff is doing no effort and may close it right in front of you. I guess there is not enough staff then they should hire maybe, better than always using machine. Especially with all the people looking for work.

The manager Faisal and a security guard are rude. I have been shopping from Lidl for years and today I was asked to show the receipt of the shopping. I was with the toddler in push chair, so I requested a guard to allow me to come on the side and take receipt out of the compartment under the push chair. The guard was too rude and started shouting on me, I requested him to be patient and polite, I showed him a receipt, even though he kept on shouting me. I didn't wanted to excelerate situation, but he called the manager Faisal and he also started on shouting on me. I showed receipt to him as well and told him about the rude behavior of guard. At last he apologized, but he was rude till the last moment. I think it is unexpectable. We as a customer paying money in exchange of goods and service and we at least deserve politeness and respect.

Okay for the proximity to Harrow-on-the-Hill station and open until 21.00 pm. Could be a bit more organised however; understandable, it's a busy store, but you'd expect to find vegetable bags & bakery bags all the times - which is often not the case. Queues move quite fast at the self check-out.
