We reluctantly accepted a high quote from Local Plumbers to move a boiler from our bungalow loft to an office bedroom as the warranty was still with them.
Surprised the job was completed in less than one and a half days but the level of workmanship was poor.
While the work was in progress and pipework completed, I feel the following would have been left unless I had mentioned them :
. I smelt gas in the loft and a leak was attended to.
. Water spill next to radiator in 1st floor - I removed the wet items and mopped up.
Looking at the completed job:
. No pointing in broken brickwork done around flue or old drain exit (pipe left sticking out of wall)
. Pipe insulation not finished off.
. Roof tiles installed at old flue site did not overlap correctly and were not supported with batten and felt, instead glue was used.
. Copper overflow pipe from new boiler not neat.
. Black plastic drain pipe from new boiler not positioned as requested and not fixed securely to the wall.
. Drain from old boiler into sewer pipe left open and venting into loft.
Soon after installation:
Another gas leak found at input to boiler.
Radiators not heating due to boiler installation setting and air in system.
After further visits from different individuals all the above problems were finally reworked to the expected standard….. but despite the stress, it was only due to our persistence and the holding back of the final payment, that what would be expected as standard workmanship was finally achieved.

Don’t bother. An absolute rip off!

They charged me £114 an hour to fix my leaking tap. Couldn’t fix it saying they need to special order a part. Still charged me £114 for a 15 min visit.

Then they sent me a quote for £280! Broken down as £190 labour £44 parts plus VAT.

It’s only a tap cartridge change. I found the part myself which was £35 (£15 filter and £20 bush) and because of this stupid quote I researched how to fix it.

Go elsewhere, I would give them zero stars if that was an option

Darren responded and visited us within a few hours and then quickly organised the work to be done. Thankfully, Darren and Mark sorted out all our issues. Darren and Mark always complete their work very neatly and cleanly. And, they are pleasant to deal with. We highly recommend them.

New boiler supplied and installed, very professional engineers, no mess left on completion, great guys explained what they were doing and left us with full instructions on how to use our new boiler and controls. They have since replaced kitchen taps and service our boiler annually. Would highly recommend them 5 star service.
