Extremely Disappointed – Avoid If You Value Communication and Competence

Our experience with this firm during our house purchase was nothing short of a nightmare. From start to finish, the solicitors (Keanan) demonstrated a shocking lack of communication, urgency, and basic competence. It felt like they had no idea what they were doing – and even worse, no interest in doing it properly.

We were constantly left in the dark and had to chase updates ourselves. At several points, we ended up negotiating directly with the sellers and estate agent because our solicitors were either unresponsive or unaware of what was going on. Tasks were repeatedly left until the last minute, with missing documents and unresolved issues only being chased on the day of completion.

A particularly unacceptable issue was that fraud checks on us were carried out just one day before completion, forcing us to take unpaid leave from work and make urgent trips to the bank to gather documents they should have requested weeks earlier. They even chased documents that had already been submitted, clearly showing a complete lack of internal coordination.

Out of desperation, we emailed the manager directly – clearly explaining the urgency and our concerns – and received no response whatsoever. This lack of accountability from the top down says everything about how the firm is run.
The entire process was stressful enough without having to do their job for them. It felt like we were paying for a service that we didn’t actually receive. There was no sense of care, no accountability, and no professionalism.

I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere – this firm is not fit to handle such an important transaction.
