We are a small group who wanted to build a War Memorial at the site where a Lancaster bomber crashed right at the end of world war 2 killing the eight men on board. We were not far along the road when the Council made it clear that Planning Permission is needed to place a rock in the countryside. An initial look and the forms and process' involved made it look like a Herculean task. We put out an appeal to raise funds and recruit services and I'm pleased to say that Mark and Angela from Mark Simmonds Planning Services saw our messages and stepped forward to offer their support to the Project. They took on the complete planning application on our behalf and steered the whole thing through to completion. It may have been an every day task for them but having had sight of the application when it was submitted, I was struck by the depth of knowledge and understanding of all of the issues that need to be addressed if the application is to be successful.
We were deeply grateful for their support and have no hesitation in recommending their services to others.

I couldn’t disagree more with the singular negative review of MSPS. I found Mark Simmonds to be professional, thorough and accessible throughout. Likewise Angela was sharp and very punctual, engaging and liaising with the Planning Officer throughout.

Mark was recommended to me by my local solicitor who has been our family solicitor and friend for over 40 years. He had seen Mark’s work professionally and held him in high esteem.

Mark managed my expectations from the get-go and I knew permission was not a given as I was making a retrospective application.

I agreed a fee with Mark at our first meeting and he did not pressure me for payment. Professional fees are always subjective as how do you put a value on knowledge and experience? All I can say is I thought the fee was reasonable and in hindsight the application was clearly robust and detailed as the planners accepted our presentation without fault.

Ask yourself this: given all the 5 star reviews, is one singular negative review consistent/reliable? Personally I can’t recommend Mark & Angela enough and I WOULD STILL HAVE BEEN CONTENT WITH THEIR WORK HAD WE FAILED.

Mark is calm, careful and methodical. Whilst these may not be the characteristics you look for in a F1 driver, they are absolutely what you need when navigating the murky and often impenetrable waters of the planning process and legislation!

I turned to Mark Simmonds Planning Services after a lot of positive feedback to help me obtain planning permission for a new dwelling. The plot location, house size and local heritage could have caused issues, resulting in a planning application refusal. However, the professionalism, due-diligence and preparation Mark and his team carried out, allowed this planning application to be supported by the general public and local councillors. As a result of this, we were granted full planning permission by the planning authority. Without the guidance, continued support and industry knowledge from Mark, this application would have been refused.

I have used mark Simmonds planning services for quite a few years now trying to obtain planning permission to close down a motel in haxey north Lincolnshire and build 6 detached houses. Mark left no stone unturned in making sure that everything went smoothly regarding all aspects of my planning application. Mark was always there at the end of the phone if there was a problem and he would promptly sort out the problem. Mark sometimes didn’t answer his phone straight away but just leave him a voicemail and he would always get back to me that day I knew he was very busy with other planning applications so that speaks for itself. Everyone I have spoken to in the past to do with Mark was highly satisfied with his services. Can I finally say that after a few years battling to get full planning permission Mark came up trump’s in October 2022 when I obtained planning permission for my development. The delay was nothing to do with Mark it was down to the local authorities refusing my applications but Mark just carried on with my appeals and as I have said earlier in this review I finally got full planning permission granted in October 2022.
