This was redesigned by men! I found it very inaccessible as a woman, the strength needed to lug stuff up the stairs and over the top was very frustrating. Are you not allowed to do DIY if you are female, elderly, or limited mobility?
Fair enough for bits of metal, but not for general waste. I can't see why you can't leave heavy stuff to one side and some burly staff can lug it later. The old system of piling it up was much easier, could could just tip it out of the car. Cross!

Great place to take rubbish to. Some you can get charged for but still better then flytip like some less developed people do. Never had any issue with what I brought over. Sometimes you have to queue as quite a lot of people visit it, especially on a sunny days.

I usually visit the Pinhoe tip which is excellent but today had the misfortune to visit this one. Oh my word, what a bunch of miserarble, hostile, unhappy staff I encountered. Thank goodness for a foreign sounding chap (dark hair, may be eastern European or Greek?) friendly, helpful, polite whereas the 'Brits' didn't reply to my greetings but just glared at me, making me feel most unwelcome and grunted where I had to go. Will not be visiting here again in a hurry. Great, we are pulling out of the European market, we have SO much to learn from them re their work ethic and their customer service levels. God help us! Did I just visit on a REALLY bad day

Despite me telling them the van was of the correct size I was approached by 3 operatives with a measure, it was 5.9m which seemed to dissapoint them. I asked for this in writing so I wouldn't feel so intimidated by them again, this request was refused& when I suggested they were unhelpful they started to get argumentative, shocking service!

It's ok here, but honestly the pinhoe site is better, the resale area has improved slightly since my last visit but you still have to climb steps to put stuff into the skips, not so great if you are carrying heavy armfuls of rubbish! Pinhoe is more purpose built, bigger and has a great resale area. But if you just want somewhere to dump your rubbish on Marsh Barton, this is the place!

Today we tried to visit Exeter to enjoy the advertised delights of the city and spend some money whilst on holiday.
We did some research on where to park and decided the Park and Ride looked to be a good choice. We drive a campervan and suitable facilities were advertised at Marsh Barton P&R. We arrived at just after 10am.
The car park was full with cars parked everywhere, some spilling over into the roads in and out.
Where was the advertised parking for oversized vehicles and motorhomes and the advertised car park attendant. There was exstensive building work taking up about half of the advertised parking.
There were no signs in place stopping drivers turning into the parking area until it was too late.
We will ensure that the MMM Guide for Motorhome parking is updated to help other potential visitors to your city.

It was poetry in motion, or rather, a well thought out and supervised queuing system on the approach rd. They asked which area you are going to first and if it is out of sight, they check on their walkie-talkie if there is room for you. No time is wasted.
