Hi everyone, I want to share my experience with this company, which I believe is highly unprofessional and potentially fraudulent. Please be cautious.

We run a small food business and recently opened a store in Glasgow. Unfortunately, the previous owner of the premises had outstanding bills with this company. Despite providing all the necessary documents, including a Change of Tenancy (COT) request, the company refused to accept them at first. The representative handling the COT was uncooperative, and we eventually had to involve the Council to get them to recognize our documentation.

By that time, they had already pressured us to pay £45,000. After finally accepting the COT, we requested a final bill, which took them over a month to issue. When we received it, we discovered we were actually in credit. They assured us a refund would be processed within 7-9 days, but it has now been over a month, and we are still waiting.

Additionally, we noticed discrepancies in their VAT calculations. For example, they charged £700 VAT on a zero figure, which seems highly irregular. I believe HMRC should investigate this company thoroughly.

We plan to involve Citizens Advice for further assistance. Based on our experience, I would give them a 0-star rating. Please think twice before dealing with this company.

After they removed my last review, I will make another to warn people against using this company. I was forced to pay £4,000 a month for my small pub, then when you dispute it they ignore it and have someone else call you. Any good review for this company will be written by someone working for them. They rope you into a 3 year contract without telling you, cancellation fee for me was almost £12,000. Go with British Gas. It is a much more trustworthy company and there workers can speak good English

I read lot negative reviews which all genuine even I faced same I run small business I used to pay 3/400 every month 2 year back their agent call me and they give cheap deals then older providers. Which looks good for me then I request direct debit similar amount as previous provider they took every month around £400 after 6 month they send me more than twenty three thousand pound I request make curret invoice with curret meter reading they never done they ask pay ful amount of £23 thousand pounds which totally wrong they discontinued the energy and try to chasing again and again pay full amount then they will reconnect.but I am hardly make a minimum weekly wages how can be I can pay I run very small takeaway which is hard to make any . I am seeking for advice . I believe when I read must review write previous owner not paid bill because they did like me that why previous owners they have to leave place please please don’t go any agent call and before signing find a feedback first there is few companies they rubbing your hard money me and my few friends they having same problem

My daughter was sold a business contract.
She had three prior calls telling her that just as long as her business is registered at her address she can have a contract ,although she only uses one room for business and the rest of the house is residential he said your bills would be half to what she was charged,in the first few days she got a bill for over £400,when the calls were recorded the salesman spoke 100 miles an hour and said is your energy solely used for business purposes and that she is free to end the contract at anytime, now she would be looking at a termination fee of around 2k..
Search the petition close them down before deciding whether to go with them.
We are now instructing solicitors to fight her corner.

I left a very comprehensive review previously about Maxen Power Supply Ltd. It included details of taking Maxen to the Ombudsman twice and winning both cases. However, even that didn't stop the shady practices. I'm quite convinced they think it's OK to do business in a very poor manner. Testament to that is my previous review is gone. Please, whatever you do, DO NOT sign up with Maxen Power. Search the company on Google and you'll see they've been fined for shady practices and poor customer service too. You have been warned. This is not a fake review, my business is gone and that is directly attributable to Maxen Power.

I was sold as buisness company contract ,at first I was shocked I got direct debits around £400 and I called them o said I will not pay that money so now I have to provide monthly record however my bills increased to over £300 after 6 months with them .
Since that time I am trying to remove my account as buisness .
I am the owner of the house and today lady said she will call me back once she heard I am not renting this house.
I live in United Kingdom over 20 years in that years I worked hard I safe money and bought house .
If I will not solve myself like wise I am going to court with them .

My house is small and have the highest bill £130 a month that includes electricity and gas in normal company’s plus the reason is small I have solar system on my roof over 10 years that producing very well .

Terrible service! As a new tenant, I’m being penalized for the previous tenant’s unpaid bill. They tried to break into the property to disconnect power and are demanding unnecessary documents for tenancy change. Ridiculous experience—yet they expect new customers to stay with them!
