We were towing our 26’ Imagine travel trailer through the Vail Pass in Colorado on I-70. We were going up a big incline and traffic was stop and go due to construction. All of a sudden, we had warnings flashing across the dash of our Ford 250. We could hear the coolant boiling and steam was coming from under the hood. We were able to maneuver into an opening on the shoulder for the road crew. We popped up the hood and were sitting there not sure what to do. I said a quick prayer and Lo and behold, this angel named Mike from Mountain Recovery appeared beside us and asked if we needed a tow! He deftly moved his rig (I can’t even tell you how tight the space was) and he was able to get our 250 on the back of the truck bed, and then hooked up our trailer behind that. He was calm and cool, said he does it all the time. Mike was so awesome. He towed us to a hotel and we spent the night. The Ford dealer in Silverthorne couldn’t get us in, so the next day, Mike came to the rescue again! He towed us to Denver and helped us until he was sure we were settled. We recommend Mountain Recovery wholeheartedly. Mike spoke very highly of his company and said it wouldn’t have mattered who helped, everyone is as helpful as him. We felt safe knowing we were in his good hands.

We broke down on the side of the mountain just before Eisenhower Tunnel at mm 210 my husband tried to fix our truck but unfortunately it went into derate mode and we had to be towed. The dispatcher was so sweet and understanding and very helpful. She sent Dean to help us. He was very clean cut, kind, respectful, and was very careful with our equipment. After getting the drive line removed and air lines hooked up he came and tied up the steering wheel with the seat belt and told us we were ready to go. I was very nervous at first but he was an excellent driver. We had to go over 60 miles to the dealership for service. Not once did I hear a rumble strip or feel any hard breaking. Once we got to our destination he very carefully hooked everything back up the way he found it and put all of his tools and equipment away and wished us the best.
It has been a very long time since I’ve seen a young man so respectful and hard working.
I would recommend Mountain Recovery again and again. No tow is too big or too small.
Thank you for all you do to keep us safe and the roads open.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! My friends and I were on a girl trip and we got a flat tire. This wonderful man name Jack stopped by to help. He was extremely nice. 10/10 totally recommend!!

I cannot say enough about the service by Mountain Recovery! We had a jeep break down on i70 during the holiday weekend with a motor bike rigged to the back and Jack not only towed it to a shop for us but removed and stored the bike and rack for us until we could get the jeep repaired! Then when we were ready to pick it up Gilbert not only helped us reattach the rack but drove us to get better straps and followed us to give us a tow over Vail pass just in case! I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

Gilbert saved us from one of the worst situations where we were stranded in one of the two lanes of 70west in Colorado right before the tunnel in a disabled rental car. Our rental car agency refused to dispatch a tow truck until we were in a safe location even though we were unable to roll our car into the breakdown lane while we were in neutral. CDOT couldn’t even push the car into motion. Gilbert showed up, loaded us onto the flatbed and then went along for the ride as we were given address after address from the rental car company to take the car to only to be turned away. He was great company during a terrible time and even helped ease the tension between my traveling partner and I in a stressful situation. So grateful for mountain recovery’s expertise and Gilbert’s friendly personality.

On June 14, my son was clearing land on top of our property with his Kubota Skid Steer. When he got into a steep area, the Kubota ended up rolling down at least 600 ft and landed on some adjoining property. After a week in the hospital, (thank God my son will have a full recovery) we began researching companies that could help us extract the Kubota which was laid on its side, and tucked into some heavy brush on the lower end of the steep mountain. Mountain Recovery came out and said they could do the job. Big Jon, Leo and Dustin were assigned to the recovery and I have to say they were perfect from the start! They were professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable with the heavy equipment they were using to do the extraction. They not only put the property owners at ease with their expert knowledge and maneuvering of the heavy machinery, but gave our family peace of mind, with little disturbance to the land and the machine. I can't say enough about this company from start to finish, from working with the dispatchers, the owner of the company, Charlie, and the guys who worked so hard to extract our Kubota, they made a very scary and tragic situation less stressful. Thank you Mountain Recovery...job well done!!!

I had gotten in a snow squall that caused whiteout conditions. Long story short, I was trapped on I70 westbound, about Vail Pass, in about 3 feet of snow. Mountain Recovery was on the scene within minutes. Gilbert Ramos was so kind, courteous, reassuring, and confident in an otherwise stressful scenario. He helped winch my vehicle in the tow truck, explained what to expect going forward from the insurance company. The dispatcher was super friendly and helpful. I am so grateful for their help. I don’t know what I would have done otherwise, all alone in the Rockies.

We were coming to Breckenridge Co a week early pulling our 42 ft toy hauler for my daughter’s wedding our truck lost power started smoking, we pulled over before the Eisenhower tunnel. We called Mountain Recovery they responded very quickly Leo arrived on the scene at 9:30pm in the pouring down rain with a huge truck to pick us up, he hooked up our truck, and trailer loaded with 4 seat Razor and 2 dogs! Leo was so nice and very accommodating he even helped us try to find a disesel mechanic. He brought us into Silverthrone to safe location so we could find someone to work on our truck! Highly recommend Mountain Recovery
