Wally is an honest mechanic who updated me in real time with texts/images and had great communication. Saved me a lot of money by telling me what actually needed to be done and was only interested in getting Kia Sportage up and running, not what would make him the most money.

I would easily recommend Norfolk Auto to anyone who wants a mechanic they can trust.

Highly recommend Wally and his team. I go to Norfolk Auto Services from SF because they’re trustworthy, explain with great detail, and never give you hidden/false info. His car advice is always welcome and straight to the point. I don’t ever spend more than an hour here. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

i’ve been coming to norfolk auto for about 6 years or so. it’s a small shop run by wally with one other mechanic. they’ve done most of my car’s oil changes and a few brake changes. they don’t do tires or some bigger, more involved repairs but they do complimentary inspections and always let me know if there’s anything i should address elsewhere. wally is very thorough and takes the time to explain or show things to me.

my car is always done within the quoted amount of time and i appreciate respect for the customer’s time. check out apple fritter next door or go for a stroll around the neighborhood while you wait.

i’ve never had a negative experience here, although wally did jokingly ask once why i went to a different shop in between routine oil changes i moved across the bridge but the service and prices here can’t be beat so i guess norfolk is stuck with me! highly recommend. check them out

Owner is blatantly sexist. He was rude to me, took longer than he said, and charged $120 for an oil change. My boyfriend had the exact same service done. He only charged $90 and had a completely different tone. It’s a shame car places can still get away with this.

It’s a decent shop that does the job. I went in for a smog check and got it done within 20 minutes. It was a bit expensive ($60) compared to other places but that’s just the Bay Area.

Wally was great! Very honest and gave a detailed breakdown of the service performed and the costs. Also they changed engine oil, tire rotation and transmission service in like 40 mins! Great service and prices!
