After speaking to numerous mechanics, I was told I would need to take my van to a main dealer in order for it to be repaired. A friend recommended OBD Pal. Within 5 minutes of dropping my van off, my phone went with the diagnostic report and a price. After accepting the quote, I was told it would be ready for pickup that same afternoon. I'm self-employed and rely on my van to earn a living, and OBD Pal were able to get me back on the road on the same day as diagnosing the issue. I had warning lights (12 off) on my dashboard. Fixed concerns caused by another garage and fully repaired with improvement, auto wipers, headlights, sensors all react much quicker to any changes.much improved after correcting other garages mistakes. great to get car back and better that it's improved also. - fully recommend the service and also cost, very reasonable

Pal is a consummate professional. He is busy because his reputation proceeds him but always finds time to help, as his service is second to none. I had my car in for a fairly complex electrical communication issue on my 65 plate BMW and within a short time period Pal had the issue diagnosed, the parts on order and rectified within a couple of days. He provided regular updates and is very fairly priced given his expertise and time he put in to the car. Would recommend to anyone!

had a bad experience at halfords with apple carplay stereo charged me over £500 for a stereo that didn’t even fit my car and then didn’t even put my heater switches back on correctly‍♀️. went over to pal and he managed to sort one for me in a few weeks and fit it perfectly. highly recommend he does a great job!

After going to a garage with sudden window wiper failure I was recommended going to an auto electrician to determine the actual problem before going out and buying unnecessary parts. The motors for example cost over £400 new and there's 2 of them.

I found OBD on Google and the reviews were great. I paid £120 for a diagnostic. When picking up the car he informed me that the wiring is all good. I didn't get a reason of why they weren't working but suggested I get a new fusebox. Upon getting a fusebox it didn't fix the problem. I called Pal and he said maybe it is the motors. I told Pal that I paid for a diagnostic to determine the exact problem. His exact response was...

Hi, mate.. when you picked up the car I told you I run a diagnostics to the wiper system I removed both motors and told you that the signal wasn't changing on the response and my suggestion was to try the relay box first as the cheaper option. The issue you have is russian roulette iv done the test that needed to be checked I can confirm that your wiring is all ok. I didn't just have a guess the relay box was a suggestion.

I paid to find the problem, not to play (Russian roulette) and buy parts hoping it works. I should of walked away knowing if it was the electrics or the motors themselves, or if it is the motors, which one had failed.

The cost to fix it isn't an issue. But before buying parts, I wanted to know what was wrong. It has nothing to do with getting it done on the cheap, I'm more than capable of changing the motors. But before shedding out the money, it would be nice to know if the motors have failed. When I first messaged you and gave you the make and model of the car explaining the issue, your response was....

Hi, you would need a diagnostics that is 80+vat to see where and what is causing the issue.. repairs there for after

Then when I rang you you then told me that it would be £120, as I said the money wasn't a problem. When speaking with you when collecting the car, you told me that the motors were not rusted and looked in OK condition. You then went on to say you believe it to be the fuse box and suggested I change it. You said they were cheap to get and had a good feeling that was the problem. You said you didn't have any in stock, You showed me where to find the part number, showed me what to take off and said, "Call me if you have any problems." When I called you saying they were still not working you went on to say it maybe the motors but which one you don't know. When paying for a diagnostic you expect to have a confirmation of the fault at the very least if it is electrical or mechanical- I have neither and am back to square one!
