Really good service and excellent advice. There was another off grid system fitted when we purchased our house that didn’t work. We contacted many so called experts, who were happy to charge us for their time but unable or unwilling to actually help us get things working. The Off Grid Installer was quite the opposite. Leigh offered good advice on our old system. Sadly it became clear that we were not going to be able to get our old system to work as we needed, and so we asked Leigh his advice on what it would take to set us up a proper off grid solar / battery system with a generator back up. As we are totally off grid it was important that the new system would work! Leigh gave us a quote after asking many questions about our requirements, and offered a call to discuss any questions we had. He then bent over backwards to fit us in to his existing bookings, to get us switched on before the weather turned for the winter. We were able to do some work prior to his team arriving to speed the job along and we also carried out some of the simple jobs to help keep costs down. He was great to work with and his team were pleasant company and great around our children. The finished job has been great and any questions we have had since the installation have been answered by Leigh straight away. His no question back up is testament to the quality kit he installs. A great job from start to finish.

Offgridinstaller compleated our system over 3 years ago, adding battery backup and 36 new panels to our existing wind and solar generation capacity. We have subsequently expanded our battery backup with offgridinstaller, we found him to be competent and confident, work progressed smoothly dispite the difficulties of covid and the disruption of supply lines due to the war in Ukraine. Aftersales service has been excellent and he has been able to monitor and tweak the system for us remotely as the seasons change.
For us Leigh’s team at offgridinstaller has provided a virtually fif and forget system that just does the job required for us.. Our windmill engineer (a different supplier) also looked at the installation on his last visit and discribed his work as sound, neat and tidy. We have confidence in the quality of install and on going service.

Leigh installed my solar system in spring 2023, in Potterspury, Northants. It’s a big system, sixty panels, three inverters, giving three phase supply. This is capable of firing a ceramic kiln, for example, entirely off grid on a sunny day. Other installers I spoke to stated the kind of system I wanted could not be done, ie with the ability to run it entirely off grid, but with the choice of running it with grid back-up as well, but it was not a problem for Leigh. Everything runs perfectly. Leigh was helpful and enthusiastic during installation and threw in a couple of extras for me. He has a great “can-do” attitude. The after-installation service (when I have to call up from time to time to ask advice on how to carry out some of the tech functions on my RC screen) is excellent, always helpful and easy to understand. I recommend this company strongly.

Please avoid this company. I’m so glad to be finally free of this arrogant narcissist. He can’t admit his mistakes and will not apologise for the stress he has caused us due to poor installation and conduct. So many decent companies deserve your custom instead!

Poor service. Poor time keeping. Lack of organisational skills. Poor knowledge of genuine off grid systems. We had a really uncomfortable service from this particularly unpleasant person.
