An oasis in a remote part of Hadrian’s wall. We had trekked 18 miles up hill and down dale and received a warm welcome from Les. Rooms were great and food cooked by our host was lovely. He also provided us with some local ales which went down well. Les has a lot of local knowledge and kept us entertained with his many tales and rampant sarcasm. Breakfast was excellent.

Les made our stay unique and enjoyable. After a long day nothing beats a few cold beers, a home cooked meal and a good chat. Definitely recommend the station for anyone walking the wall.

Les was a fantastic host. We we're cycling and came late, he had some leftovers which we we're free to have at as much as we wanted. We felt very welcome and had a beer with him, and a wonderful, homely breakfast in the morning.

Me and my mate had to finish our hike early, and needed to wait by old repeater station for a bus. Lesley was kind enough to put us up for an hour or so while we waited. He welcomed us in, offered us drink and a place to sit before our bus. Very kind of him, can’t imagine many places would be so welcoming as Lesley. Thanks pal!

We had a warm welcome from Les our host, at this former telecomms station. It's a comfortable, quirky B&B, full of books and interesting objects, including a large train set layout! Our twin room at the top was warm and light, though a bit cramped for the 2 of us and luggage. The ensuite was good, toiletries and hair dryer provided.|We'd pre-booked dinner and enjoyed a delicious meal, with alcoholic drinks available. Les is an entertaining host with his funny stories. Breakfast was also good, with fresh fruit and freshly cooked by Les.

Comfy bed, hot shower and lovely breakfast. Standard B&B but what makes it memorable is Les, the host/owner. Les couldn’t do enough for us, accommodating us after he’d closed for the season, after we couldn’t make our sept trip. Top man, thank you for your stories and local knowledge. The frosty sunny morning we woke up to was also spectacular.

We stayed here whilst cycling the Hadrian’s cycle way. We loved the remote location with a warm friendly welcome. It’s a relaxed place and Les really looked after us. It’s very informal. Les can cook an evening meal (very tasty) and does a good cooked breakfast. Locked shed for our bikes.
