There is a lot to like about this company. British start up, thoughtful ingredients and less packaging than just about any other on the go energy source out there. The best thing about these is the flavour. That for me is spot on. However, this is where the positive aspects end. The bar is covered by bees wax. The texture of this is not off putting, but to shove this into my jersey pocket, which gets covered in my back sweat, not to mention the turds flicked up on country lanes was just too grim. I just couldn’t get this out of my mind. Then there’s the texture. It was really claggy and unpalatable, had to choke it down with water and even then the residue in my mouth was really unpleasant. I think sat down watching the spring classic last would be great with a brew, but out on the road……..errrrrr no. Subscription to this product, undoubtedly saves you money, but eating these things can be somewhat unpredictable. So for this reason subscription would never work for me.

Overall a huge shame. Stars for taste, environment and British business, stars off for texture and practicality. I really wanted to like this product, but it fell short of my expectations. I feel a peanut butter flapjack in a beeswax wrap works much better. I suppose at the end of the day it just wasn’t for me but wish them all the best.

Not only do these bars literally taste like sawdust, but the company structure is the worst I have ever seen. So many red flags, including they don’t believe in reimbursement, and let higher managers take credit for work when they were not involved at all. They pride themselves on sustainability but if you add up all the miles that staff travel into work from, that would soon ruin the illusion. The bars itself have wax on, which you can eat, but do not let this company fool you into thinking that it tastes good. Eating with the wax is just as vile as eating it without the wax. Steer clear of this company. Customers, investors and further staff alike.
