Their drivers are dangerous. Literally had one in a small white van pull out of a junction today right in front of me, as I didn't let him out. Made me break so that I didn't hit my car. Done purposely and intentionally. With the company logo all over the van. Really rude. Really unprofessional. What a bully. Phoned the company and asked for it to be addressed. Let's hope it is. I won't be using them as a company because of the way their employees reflect on them as an organisation.

Whoever was driving this van at 09:30am on 31st July 2024 needs to be spoken to by their senior team. They almost ran two other people off the road being incredibly reckless, speeding, bullying other drivers and trying to create their own lanes. I have your number plate and will be reporting you to the police.

A disabled friend of mine was forced to go into the road because one of their employees thought it would be a good idea to bring the company van home and park it on their driveway even though it was far too big to fit. If you can’t fit it on the driveway without blocking most of the pavement, park somewhere else, you inconsiderate buffoon. It is against the law to obstruct the pavement.

Had a complete rewrite of the house commissioned by Dudley council. The first man who came by to inspect the house was rude and kept threatening legal action if we don’t allow them to do the work on the stated date(I never said they couldn’t) he came across very aggressive and rude.
When the day came to do the electrics it took a group of 5 men to complete the job in just over half a day.
My friends are electricians and they stated it should be a 3 day job atleast. They didn’t bother to cover up any of the items in the house so when I returned on the evening there was plaster dust all over the house I suffer from bad asthma and this caused me to have a bad chest infection which led to pneumonia.
I have artexed ceilings from the 60s and they took no safety precautions to see if it had asbestos

They stated they would plaster the walls back flush but the plasterer who came a week later did a bad job there was no way he was a professional plasterer in the end I had to get my electric sander out and even out the walls I noticed there was a few places he thought he could get away with not plastering because they was behind an appliance leaving big holes and old wiring in the walls.

It’s been a year since it has happened and since then 5 of the sockets and 3 of the light switches have broken. The pull cords in the bathroom wasn’t even fixed to the plaster boards using the correct fixing and it pulled out the ceiling

Avoid this company at all costs. They are the definition of cow boys

Absolute waste of a company I wish redditch council would fire them and contract with someone else ! Two thugs showed up at my home when I specifically requested solo visits due to having anxiety and panic attacks with strangers in my home ! They beat living hell out of my door when I couldn’t answer it fast enough when asked questions at the door for my own piece of mind was answered with attitude and arguments , I asked if they were able to complete the task without messing with my stuff to which they replied no and I asked why not as I don’t want my stuff messed with (again anxiety levels at maximum right now) due to a pair of thugs at my door arguing with me , the main thug then fills out a we missed you card and just said ā€œwe’ll just go and say you weren’t here ā€œ to which I replied you’re on camera bare faces lying about that and you’re arguing based on the fact I just asked you not to mess with my stuff ! To which thugs replied we can do our jobs without it ! Yeah then if they can’t do an electric check without messing with all my stuff then they can jog on such an unprofessional company and extremely unprofessional employees ! This also is not my first run in with orton nor even my second and none of my experience with this compmany of cowboys and thugs has been pleasant I truly think they need liquidating and dispanding as they’re a vile company !

I had to have a full rewire which I was fine with when they came to draw the plans was told I could have fuse box in cupboard when the job was done it wasn't put in said cupboard but worse of all nome of my property was covered,after they had gone thinking they had done a good job I started to notice to bodged up work holes made in wrong place trunking just running over air vents,but then I went to do my washing and got the second worse shock of my life turned out the live wire was stripped and touched the other one,emergency electrician cane out and said it was a shabby and dangerous job,next day the manager came and told me to sign the paperwork he had otherwise the gang of workers would not get paid for the work stupidly I did but I'm a middle aged woman living alone.a year later and my electrics still play up,was told not to use my kettle in one socket because I gey a spark they said not down to them it's the appliance though it's never sparked before the rewire beaware

The Orton Group fitted a new boiler for us under the Government's boiler replacement scheme in May 2020, we qualified because our old boiler was faulty and my husband is disabled.
The installation went well although the new pipework and finish to the wall in the kitchen was unslightly and the boiler was situated too low for it to enclosed in a cupboard but at the time I was just grateful to have it fitted at a reasonable cost to us.
We've had a problem with the thermostat for the last 6 months with it not saving settings etc. I twice rang the contact number for Orton Group yesterday, was twice promised a call back because engineers were busy but no-one called back.
I received a call this morning from them, I explained the problem and was told the 2 year warranty document was from E-on who commissioned the work and their warranty was only for 1 year, they couldn't help even with a simple enquiry.
After a lot of googling I discovered the batteries in the thermostat needed changing - I didn't know it had batteries! Such a simple solution that could have been resolved in that call back this morning especially as I'd explained the problem 3 times.
You're probably thinking "What a dimwit" - I'm in agreement! But in my defence, as someone who's approaching their 3 score years and 10, all I wanted was someone to help me sort the problem instead of dismissing me.
