Shameful service. STILL holding on to my £460 credit two months on, even after 6 phone calls and 3 mails. Very quick to take money but abysmal at giving back MY money. I’ve now left and switched to a company with decent customer service. DO NOT USE OUTFOX THE MARKET - seriously bad! I’d give zero stars if I could.

I was with Outfox the Market for 5 or 6 years and I kept clocking up credit to the tune of over £700 but they made a big fuss when I asked for refunds. I was always in credit, never in debit but they would not adjust my payments to a fair amount so in the end I changed supplier mid-July 2024. Despite them knowing and acknowledging that I had left, they kept chasing me to send meter readings and to rei state the direct debit. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE FINAL REFUND

Avoid this company like the plague. They treat direct debit amounts like their own personal cash/investment reserve. Our direct debit was raised significantly soon after we signed up, for no justifiable reason other than "we think you'll use more electricity over winter". We provided previous bill proof of our winter usage. They ignored this and continued to raise an excessive amount each month. When you then contact them for a refund of the excessive credit they've accumulated they are difficult to deal with and make it appear that they have no obligation to return your own money - They do have an obligation to. Eventually it's possible to get small amounts back, however they sit on far more than is reasonable. Their customer service is shocking and their billing is opaque. We've now switched to a new supplier and the breath of fresh air in dealing with them compared to this lot is incredible. Our account was switched from Outfox, yet they continued taking direct debits despite this long after the switch happened. They now have hundreds held unnecessarily in credit which they are dragging their heels on returning. The amount held now equals roughly 6 times the amount of our AVERAGE energy bill. Ie, they have an amount equivalent to at least 6 months worth of energy bills, of our money sat in their account earning them interest. No wonder they are in no rush to return it. They are rogues and there needs to be much better regulation of dodgy energy firms behaving like this. Now battling to get back our own money. Avoid this company like the plague!

Avoid them at all costs. After moving to a new supplier and paying my last bill, they came back asking fro more. Which is rather interesting concept since i have moved and paying another company. Then harassment started with texts and emails

I’d give zero if I could. Fine when you have no contact with them but come to leave and get credit balance back and suddenly their customer service they bang on about disappears! Absolute joke company claiming it takes up to 3 weeks to get a partial refund of my money! Sure they’d be on my case if I didn’t pay a bill inside 3 weeks!!!

Honestly amazed by their claims of excellent customer service. I switched to them and they had the wrong electricity meter on my account. I phoned multiple times and was assured it was being sorted and nothing has happened. I've emailed at least four times and still nothing. They also managed to add a completely fictional gas reading to my account so that I overpaid my previous supplier. I've no idea how this will work itself out since I haven't been issued a single bill since I joined them on the 21st June. Communication is slow and poor and no action has been taken to resolve my issues. I desperately regret switching.

Moved in to accommodation on 15/9 both myself and the landlord and written numerous emails to swap over the gas and electric utilities , the only communication you get is via email and I have never seen anything quite like it , no one is clearly following the case to swap the names over despite all the information being provided by myself and the landlord , we have even tried both copying in on emails but sadly all we get is a fresh email each time seemingly with no prior knowledge of the very simple case and a new ticket number . You simply cannot get through on the phone to these people .
Avoid at all cost looks like they run out of someone’s living room !!! Totally unprofessional and unreliable and certainly the most incompetent company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with . This has been going on since the 15/9 and still the utilities have not been swapped over so they had been given plenty of time prior to making my feelings known and warning others .

Avoid this company I moved recently and regret every minute of it. I gave them my previous meter readings from my old company and they couldn’t even input them correctly. I’ve now been waiting for a couple of weeks now and they’re still not sorted the The problem customer service is one of the worst I’ve ever come across the arrogant don’t know what they’re doing And don’t listen to what they’re being told maybe they don’t understand English I don’t know. I would not recommend this company. Will report it to Martin Lewis they won’t reply to this review or any others waste of time. Company is -5 stars if I could.
