We felt Potentia gave us the best quote in terms of price, quality and confidence. They have now installed the system and we have to say that definitely made the correct decision. From the initial scaffolding set up to the post installation work we have had a fantastic service. I cannot recommend Potentia Engineering highly enough. The team, particularly Dan and Kirsty who I was lucky enough to deal with, were superb from the initial point of contact through delivery and in after sales care.

It’s inadequate to say they know their stuff… it’s much more than that. They have a deep knowledge of the technology and its application but, possibly more importantly, a great understanding of how to communicate this to the customer in an easy to understand way. When Potentia explained the benefits of solar pv combined with battery storage and an immersion diverter, it made it a no brainer to have it installed.

All communication prior to the install was clear and efficient and explained exactly what was going to happen. The install date was accurate and the team arrived on site on time. The work was completed on time and the site was left completely clear (possibly in a better state than when they arrived!).

The set up of the monitoring and control app was explained in detail with recommended scenarios e.g. diversion of excess energy to heat water, set up. Potentia has, with my permission, access to the site remotely so are able to check on any issues that could arise and suggest tweaks to the set up.

After sales service has always been superb with any questions answered very quickly and any issues (of which there has been only one and that was caused by the grid supplier) resolved asap.

The company is also a very human one… it is clear that they are not just interested in the revenue that installs bring but are invested in ensuring their customers benefit from their knowledge and expertise to improve their energy efficiency and reduce bills. They are also very community minded and are always looking for ways to help out local communities (or, as I discovered, far away ones as well – look for news about their amazing work in Ghana).

My mother was so impressed with the work and attention to detail that she has had a full install by Potentia. Again, the team did everything and more to ensure that someone in their late 80s understood and felt comfortable with their suggestions. The install was as she said “done so well, so neatly and by such nice people” and has provided a welcome relief on the energy bills particularly with the loss of the winter fuel allowance.

Potentia are one of the best companies I’ve worked with in my too many years and I would not think of using anyone else in this sector no matter where I might be in the country (or possibly abroad!)
