Safe Environment are an absolute pleasure to work with, professional , knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. Communication was amazing from start to finish and works were completed to the required standard.
Although based in Yorkshire, the property which required aertex ceilings removed is based in Cornwall. We live in London so never met any of the team in person but from the moment we accepted their quote - (very easy , user friendly software), we felt we were totally involved in the whole process. All our questions were answered and nothing was too much trouble. They took the stress out of the whole process for us. Once they started ceiling removal, the team on site had some queries re local parking etc and were very pleasant to liaise with on the phone. They sent us end of day photos of works achieved. Once old ceilings were removed, the plastering team reinstated new ones and again we received video of all completed works. On inspection later in the week, the property had been left in a good clean condition. We could not have been happier with our choice of company. We totally recommend them.

Gave me a time slot of 13:00 stating they would be with me two hours either side of that. I sat at the property from 10:00 to 17:00 without as much as a phone call. I received a call at 17:15 saying they were running behind and wouldn’t get to me until 19:30. The engineer that arrived was really efficient and completed the job in a timely manner but customer services and the time keeping was shocking. I did have another 3 jobs for the company but after that experience I will go elsewhere. Now I’ve had an email from Brad saying my review was unfair because his team worked late and went above and beyond to get the job done. Just to be clear I had no issues with the team that arrived and completed the job to a satisfactory standard. My issue was the times and communication with the office. The only time they had actually been efficient is in issuing the invoice. Brad I would appreciate it if you didn’t send me snotty emails perhaps if you communicated on the day we wouldn’t have a need to communicate now.

We have used this company to remove the asbestos from our barn project. The quotation process is easy and thorough, with a system that easily allows you to authorise work. We had a team of 3 guys who were very helpful and obliging with regards to working around the horses needs. They are also fast! Highly recommend

Everything from start to finish was very easy, straightforward and transparent.
The 2 lads that came to dismantle and remove the garage where excellent. They worked tirelessly and were great ambassadors for your company. Hopefully we won't have the need but if we did, we would use safe environment again.

It is regrettable that I feel compelled to leave this review.
While the team that carried out the work demonstrated exceptional professionalism—working quickly, efficiently, and removing all asbestos with meticulous attention to detail, leaving the premises immaculate—the same cannot be said for the company's management. The team on the ground are undoubtedly a credit to the organisation.

Unfortunately, the issues began with the payment process. We had made it clear from the outset that we were awaiting confirmation of "empty property" status from the council, which would entitle us as the new owner to a reduced VAT rate on renovation works. Despite outlining this in our initial discussions, the invoice was issued with the higher rate of VAT. Under pressure, we paid the invoice as issued, on the condition—with written assurance—that a refund would be provided upon receipt of the VAT reduction letter. We are not able to claim the VAT back this has to be done by the provider (you) as you completed the works.

Regrettably, since making payment, we have encountered persistent difficulties in obtaining the promised refund. Despite numerous phone calls and emails, the company has failed to provide any meaningful response. In fact, our repeated attempts to resolve this matter have been ignored entirely, leaving us feeling deliberately avoided. This review is being written after exhausting all avenues of communication.

To the management: please refrain from responding to this review with claims of having been in contact. The reality is clear—you have not communicated with us despite our multiple efforts to reach out. This situation has been disappointing and reflects poorly on the company’s management, overshadowing the outstanding efforts of the team on site.

Arrived soon after the quote and removed the roof perfectly in a couple of hours. The price was very good and the guys that completed the job very professional and polite. Very happy.

Customer service could be better here. Damaged thermostat and stairway as artex ceilings were removed and we were told that we should have removed the (wired) thermostat and the stairway wasn't really damaged despite photo evidence to the contrary. Totally understand that these things happen, but would have appreciated an apology and an offer to make it right in the first instance.
