Derek attended our address within 48 hours of the call, on a Saturday morning, and was able to diagnose and repair a fault that our maintenance company completely missed. Courteous, efficient, meticulously clean and utterly professional, I would recommend and trust this tradesman wholeheartedly. Not only providing a successful repair, Derek offered excellent value and sound practical advice on heating maintenance.

Very bad experience with this company's boss Derek. As far as I can tell, Davy the engineer did a good job carrying out our power flush (time will tell). He was well mannered and agreeable. However, our radiator valve would not turn off after his visit, while it did turn off before that. We are now stuck with a radiator permanently on unless we turn off the heating at the boiler. When I raised the issue with Derek he said that was not his responsibility and tried to give me a price to fix the valve. I challenged that, and he had no issue insulting me nor belittling me based on my age (I am 30) with aphorisms such as "Sometimes in life", or "you fit into the category of [such and such insult]", "if you car breaks during service it's not the mechanic's fault", etc. Not to mention that he had also mistakenly given me a fixed price of £350+VAT and then tried to charge more, which I would have had to pay had I not had the confidence to contest the newly given price. I even agreed to pay £42 extra for a "full power flush" I had been told nothing about when booking, yet with a grand total of £470.40 paid to them, they would not take responsibility for breaking my valve (no matter how old!). They are clearly not a trustworthy company and they will try to charge extra for anything, but more importantly, they will have no problem shouting at you on the phone, trying to give you life lessons, and belittling you in any way they can. Avoid if you want to deal with adults.

*Written after business response below*: I think anyone can tell from the defensiveness of the business that their service is not fair nor professional. My valves did turn off the radiators when put on zero, even if they were old. They were too hot when put on 1, but they did turn off. Nothing explains the change after their visit. Also, my boiler was left with pressure at 1 bar, while it should be between 1.5 and 2.0. Get a business that is honest. Other reviews point at the "attitude" this business employs. They also sent me a seemingly polite text just so I would go and see their insulting response to my review... they clearly have nothing better to do.

Power Flush on 15/01/2021.
3 of my radiators had not been working for a while. I called Scottish energy solutions and arranged an appointment as they offered a very competitive price for a power flush. Arrived on time and I explained the problem Derek talked me through the process and made me aware that there was a chance that the blockage might not move as it had been there for some time. Went ahead with power flush and every radiator now working a bit of a problem with one but Derek managed to clear it. Very pleased with the service and would definitely recommend this company to everyone.

Derek done a fantastic Job for me. I needed a power flush and called him on the Monday and he was at my property by Friday with an excellent job done.

I had 17 radiators and at least 5 were not working or giving me heat before the power flush.

From the minute we spoke Derek kept me informed of what was happening and when.

He was also a fraction of the price that British Gas wanted for the same job!

Derek turned up at the agreed date and time - his work on the heating was very professional and did the job. Very tidy and a pleasant work manner. Would definitely recommend and would use again. Good price for the work carried out and has certainly made a difference to our heating.

Derek arrived at the agreed time and immediately got to work on power flushing the heating system. He is seems professional and friendly, explaining exactly what the work would be clearly and in easily understandable way. Edit - Derek never followed up with confirmation that the flush was carried out - i.e a certificate, despite multiple attempts at chasing. So, if you get a new boiler installed and do the right thing getting your system flushed - don't expect Derek to provide the paperwork you might need if you need to make a warranty claim if it breaks. Would choose someone else next time.

Derek arrived on time, carried out the powerflushing which quickly solved the issues I was having with cold radiators. He was very professional and friendly throughout the job. He even followed up later to make sure everything was still still ok with the system. Great service!
