Sir ji, you want to test my knowledge about photosynthesis or check my common sense skill?

My knowledge about how many electrons are in a magnesium atom is limited, but my knowledge about common sense is unlimited. I understand noun, pronoun, adjective, verb, adverb, conjunction, colon, semi-colon, comma te full stop

I make conversation confidently with any English person: Prince Charles, wife Diana, mother-in-law Queen Elizabeth Part II.

I find it extremely disturbing that your esteemed organisation is trying to judge me by my knowledge about how to calculate the area of an irregular polygon, and not by my ability of common sense.

You must reexamine your education system because it is about common sense, and not about who can remember the quadratic formula

Good organization… That is if you wish to be stressed to a point it knocks you flat. So-so curriculum, so I suppose it isn’t all bad… English exams are awful and use a format which is all too unclear for many.

The pressure you put on a bunch of 15-18 year olds is insane. I’m at a school in the “posh part” of Glasgow, and our stuck up teachers even think your exams are ridiculous! This was my firsts year of exams and I did Nat 5’s in all my subjects. I never had problems with learning until this year. To learn things on time, we’d have to be taught a whole new topic every day and then get shouted at a month later when we didn’t remember every detail of it. Don’t you dare say that I didn’t try hard enough. If anything, I studied too much. The National 5 Maths this year was harder than any of the past papers. To be honest, I didn’t struggle with Biology since you put (roughly) 12 percentage questions and 9 ratio questions in it. To me, the exam wasn’t hard like loads of other people said, but it certainly was terribly layed out (it’s therefore a very bad estimate on our ability to do biology). I spent days studying entire topics that weren’t even brought up.

The only reason I’m not giving you one star is because you guys at least allow extra support for people who’s test results generally don’t represent how well they work in class. Having extra time was a massive help. I’m also thankful for the assignments (so that we go in knowing we probably have 15% already).

The stress you put us under is disgusting though. There’s no excuses for that. Overall, your system is stupid. The worst part is that you refuse to accept that. Get off your high horse. If everyone hates your exams (especially for good reasons beyond the fact that they’re exams), it means they’re bad (there are so many simple changes you could make). I can’t believe you lot have the cheek to judge OUR intelligence (in case you didn’t pick that up, I mean that you are some of the most thick-headed people in the country).

I use to be a happy child. I went out to play, I had no worries, I thought my future would be great. I was wrong. After entering into high school I was introduced to the SQA. I still had hope. It was soon gone. The pressure the SQA sets on its pupils is idiocy at its finest. I gave up trying but only because I know there was no chance for me to succeed. I have giving up on my future because of this education system. I have now finally lost all hope.
