Good prices. Helpful staff.

Update : I usually have a great experience here, but today had a "computer says no" moment. Two items had the same code. Simple error, but the huge problem I had explaining that I had been given the wrong item, even when I pointed out that the item I was given was far cheaper than what I had paid, was made far worse when the member of staff moaned about the system to explain her error rather than apologising. I don't need to be told that I did not order the item which I clearly had ordered. I'm sure the member of staff was confused, but blaming the customer is not the solution. Pity, as the staff are usually so helpful. Maybe more training is needed.

The staff here are very polite and very knowledgeable. If you're not sure what you need, just ask. They do their best to help. They stock just about anything you can think of d.i.y wise and much more that you can't think of!

Totally terrible. Ap kept kicking me out. Drove 15 miles to collect it only to be told that in the after sales small print, that it wouldn't be there until tomorrow. And no I couldn't have a refund, I will have to go to that store again tomorrow (another 30 mile round trip) to get it. So much for helping the environment. Served by a very pleasant young man, who should be the CEO, as he had heard this many times before

Very helpful staff,good knowledge of products I was wanting to buy, very competitive price, you can park at the door.If they do not have what you want on site they make every effort to source the products at another store for your collection. In short excellent store, excellent products,excellent staff.I would highly recommend them .

Went to Alnwick Screwfix tonight, talked to Helen...she was brilliant...spent quite a lot of time looking up the item in their book, then went on line and finally brought us the item we needed. Helen even said we could bring them back if they didn't fit. The good news is that the screw fits, the thread is right and hopefully we can sort the new TV out tomorrow. Thanks Helen.
