I’ve visited the Screwfix in Farnham Wrecclehsam, Surrey, several times now, and unfortunately the experience has been consistently frustrating. The older gentleman on the counter — who I can only assume is the manager — is easily one of the most unwelcoming and grumpy people I’ve encountered in retail. He has a habit of being curt and patronising, which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence or make you feel like a valued customer.

To make matters worse, the younger staff working in the stock area seem untrained or poorly managed. On multiple occasions, I’ve had to point out missing items from my order — most recently, a ladder that they’d completely forgotten to hand over. It’s not a one-off mistake either; it feels like I’m having to double-check their work every time I collect an order.

Screwfix usually delivers decent service in other branches, but this location feels like it’s running on autopilot, with no real attention to customer care or professionalism. A bit of accountability and some basic training would go a long way here.

The friendly team here seem to make everything so easy - collections/returns/advice etc. This is a really good store and most things are always in stock. No need to go anywhere else really!

Had to return a defective item after a year of use. They had a replacement in stock. No quibbles, no hassle, no charge, and the new one has a 3 year guarantee from today.

Been to Screwfix in Farnham, what an absolute delight after a bad start to the day to be greeted by Tasha the duty manager and Lynda. Very helpful and keen to take the stress of shopping there away.
Helped this grumpy man out reducing me to a smile, which is never easy on a day like today.
The tea offered and made was delightful too.

Easy to use, helpful staff, very convenient location, easy parking, well stocked, good prices, very easy return process. Always try to shop here before going to other DIY stores or the internet.

Ordered stock online to collect and was all confirmed. Arrived and they first couldn't find my order, then was told they were out of stock despite being sent a confirmation by text and email saying everything was ready for me. Poor service, will go back to using the Farnborough one!

Conveniently located next to the co-op. Can be a wait due to popularity, but generally service is prompt and friendly. Can be a wait while returning unused items if you get a person who isn't familiar with returns.
