Absolutely gutted to be leaving a 1* review but after our experience I can safely say we will never be using this company again which is a real shame as we would’ve been regular customers had things been different.
We never received any tracking or delivery information regarding our order, I was naive to think we would receive a call to arrange delivery or an email at the 7 days with the delivery information, unfortunately we didn’t.
Instead I missed our delivery through no fault of my own & 3 calls from a delivery driver who just turned up on a Monday, with no warning or any tracking to say this would be our delivery day. I rang SDL to let them know about what had happened, they said the delivery company will be in touch to arrange a delivery day/time. Tuesday came, they rang and said they will deliver on Wednesday (today) and for me to ring at 9am on Wednesday to find out a time. I rang today to find out a time for them to say they couldn’t find my delivery. I rang SDL to let them know, they said they would find out and ring me back. They never rang back. Delivery company finally rang to say they found the delivery and it will be with us early afternoon.
I ordered half a pallet, like SDL website states this is the best option if you have restricted access. A huge lorry turned up with our delivery, they refused to reverse down the drive to deliver. Instead they unloaded it by our gates for my 72 year old dad to move the bags of pellets himself! We were lucky our yard was able to move the pellets for us with a machine! Absolutely disgusting. I rang SDL yet again to let them know and all they could do was apologise but didn’t seem remotely interested.
Our first and last experience of using this company & we won’t be recommending to our widespread of equestrian friends either. A real shame and hugely disappointed!
