I've been interested in solar for years and this year I decided I'd finally see if it was worth investing in. I contacted a few companies, Senergy included, ultimately proceeding with the Senergy quote as they seemed the best put together as a business and were overall very responsive and helpful. From signing the quote and paying the deposit, install happened very quickly, within 2-3 weeks. All the installers were really friendly and even though there were a few logistical hiccups, Jasmine made sure to keep me updated regularly.

Post install the help from Senergy has been great. The system overall has been performing well but on the couple of occasions I've needed some guidance or the system has required any attention, Jasmine and Kieron have been great. I'm always wary of levels of aftercare once the final invoice is settled but Senergy have certainly proved themselves to be one of the good guys.

Would recommend to anyone 🙂

After much research to upgrade our solar system, we selected Senergy Direct. It proved to be an excellent decision!
Throughout the whole process we could not have been provided with a better service - from advice, installation and, very importantly, aftercare, when we needed a couple of faulty optimisers replacing. All was done quickly, efficiently, and professionally. It was so reassuring to receive calls when promised and have everything carried out to our satisfaction without problem!
I cannot recommend this company too highly!

Caveat Emptor ! (Buyer Beware !)
After a site visit on 15 July 2021 Senergy's salesperson reported by email that our 10-panel PV array, installed in 2012, "is averaging 2447kwh per year from install which is performing as it should be. However you could vastly increase the generation by updating to Solar Edge by 25%." NB: Not '' … up to 25%''
On our 7-panel PV array, installed in 2015, he reported "it generated 7398 over 5.75 years means an average of 1287kwh per year which is well below the EAP with a shade from next doors chimney and the roof ridge taken into account." [NB: EAP was not decoded; the MD recently said he did not know what EAP is.]
The email was copied to Senergy's MD. Relying on the salesman's recommendations, which were not questioned by the MD and therefore tacitly endorsed, I agreed to invest £7000 to upgrade both arrays with new SolarEdge inverters, with 10-year workmanship warranties, and optimisers fitted to the 10-panel array [optimisers already fitted to the later 7-panel array.]
12 months after the upgrade it was possible to judge whether £7000 spent on the upgrades were delivering the increased levels of generation proposed by Senergy's salesman, and not queried by the MD.
The results computed from the FITS data submitted and accepted by the energy company are as follows:
10 panel array: 8.28% increase in first year above average for the previous 5 years … yet in hottest year as recorded by the UK Met Office .. so well below the 25% proposed.
7 panel array: 7.89% LESS than the average yield for five previous years. … yet in the hottest year as recorded by the UK Met Office.
The MD now suggests that this may be because one of the panels is showing decreased output.
Senergy argues that otherwise both systems are working, so that they cannot be held responsible for the disappointing outcome. Their decision is upheld by the ombudsman.
Issues were originally raised with the company in January 2022. Little urgency was shown by the company in response until a negative Review was posted on Google. Then a measure of 'compensation' was urgently offered if the negative Review was deleted. This modified Review replaces the original. Buyer Beware !

So I'm going to try to not name names
It started around Feb 2022, I was looking for reputable companies and senergy came up. The sales people started off quite nicely going through my savings and costs. Then they got all judgement day saying if I didn't pay my deposit then prices are due to go up by the end of the week by the thousands of pounds. They also contacted to inform us that there are installers waiting to install within 2 weeks and to pay the deposit ASAP to secure this. After a number of days of the duo of sales people chasing me for my deposit I caved and paid the money direct to the company accounts.
I received the contract and that's when things went quiet. No phone call, no emails and most importantly no installers. Now initially I wasn't in the biggest rush so was not too concerned as I expected things to be done for May 2022 at the latest. However, they still made no contact and eventually around August they informed me that the contract had been cancelled as they had a battery stock issue. Let's now forget that energy prices had now started to sky rocket and yet I still had no panels.
I had to send the cancellation request even though they informed me that the order was cancelled. Then came the emails to them and the phone calls to them for the refund of deposit of £1300. Each time I would be informed that the managers are not in until after a certain time and they will get them to ring me.
This started as a monthly catch up, then every 2 weeks chasing them then weekly and now pretty much daily with no luck.
In the interim I contacted HIES who advised that I forward their correspondence to Senergy which I did and they have acknowledged they have received. Each customer services agent promised they would get it dealt with immediately.
One customer service agent asked "oh did you not receive the cheque?" But would not confirm when it was sent. They would also be able to see if I did receive any such cheque.
Then came the, "oh now we can do bank transfers, so I will get this sorted right away". Yet I still had no money.
I finally got given the managers email address, no response. I was given his company mobile number, still no response and just an automatic reply of, "I'm on a call."
I have recontacred HIES to see what can be done and am currently awaiting their reply.
All in the meanwhile inflation means my £1300 is worth less in real terms.
Hopefully this review helps resolve my situation but I am currently not keen on holding my breath.........15 months later.

Had my solar panels and battery installed by senergy direct recently. Started out very smooth with an online enquiry, a gentleman called me and took some details and emailed across a design and quotation. Gave me time to review it. Rang the company up with the go-ahead and within 3 weeks the panels was installed. Installers very professional and overall very happy with the service would highly recommend.
