Solar PV, Battery and car charger install.
From the first call with Nathan I was impressed with the knowledge and detailed provided by SGS, this only continued during the site visit with Nathan. I had four quotes, SGS the only company to turn up with a tape measure. Making use of all available space and not just guessing. We instructed SGS and I’ve been impressed, the workman ship from Luke and his team was amazing. Scaffolding up on a Monday and down by Friday. The work 1st class, with all wires in trucking, not like other installers. It’s this levels of detail that set SGS apart from the other installers. A friend of ours in the back of our work has instructed SGS for their solar system. Thank you Nathan, Luke and your team 5* from us.

Our boiler died very suddenly last week, SGS were really quick to fit us in for a quote and offered installation the very next day. Both Ben who provided our quote and Mark who installed our new Worcester Bosch boiler (hope I got your name correct), were very professional and the whole process was quick, easy and efficient. I'm very pleased with the service I’ve received from SGS Heating and Electrical Ltd so far. From my initial enquiry through to the home visit and quotation, everything was straightforward and professional.
Colin Tyrrell, the design consultant, was informative, friendly, and helpful, and he provided the quote within the timeframe promised. The installation date was agreed for two 2.5kW internal Daikin Perfera units, and the office team communicated well throughout — even sending a reminder the day before installation.
The electrician (whose name I’ve unfortunately forgotten) did a great job connecting everything to the consumer unit and left the area clean and tidy for the engineer to complete the setup. Ryan Austin, the engineer, worked quickly, efficiently, and with great care — even managing the difficult task of drilling through very tough walls with ease. I haven’t had a chance to inspect the loft pipework yet, but the system is working well and produces a crisp, cool environment.
In hindsight, I wish I’d had this done sooner — recent heatwaves made the delay all the more noticeable, but the wait was understandable due to high demand. Externally, the installation looks neat and professional, with pipework and electrics fitted in a tidy, unobtrusive manner.
I paid the balance today and, impressed with the installation, have asked SGS to return and quote on a third unit. I’m happy to recommend SGS Heating and Electrical Ltd.

The entire process was seamless, and impressively, everything was completed in just three days, including the scaffolding going up and coming down. The installation was carried out with great attention to detail, and the team kept me informed every step of the way, ensuring everything was set up exactly as I wanted. I ran out of gas for the bbq last night, so popped into SGS this morning for a new gas cylinder. I was there 15 minutes before they opened at 08:00 and when they arrived 5 minutes after me, they opened the shop and got me a new cylinder straight away, even before they were officially open, what great service! Plus, they serve bacon butties and coffee/tea to customers and staff every other Friday, so I joined them. I am very impressed indeed with the SGS staff's friendliness, knowledge, helpfulness and professional attitude. Well done all of you!

SGS installed solar panels, a battery, an EV charger, smoke alarms, thermostats and an air source heat pump. They were excellent and we have been recommending them to friends and neighbours. Several staff went above and beyond expectations and after sales service has also been good. Staff are polite, professional and friendly. Nathan Hollywood, was particularly helpful but I would also give a shout out to Max, Euan and Luke amongst most others.
