Sheerwater Solar installed our solar and battery system in late Dec 2023 (arranged through Otovo) and while I was a little worried at the thought of people clambering over my roof, I needn't have worried. They (George, George and Matt) all did a fantastic job installing the system. Everything was done neatly, they arrived when they said they would and they left the site (my drive) clean and tidy at the end of each day. In the end it took about 2 and a half days effort spread over a week to install the system.

So in summary the installation went really smoothly from start to finish and we’re really happy with our new solar and battery installation. We’d give Sheerwater Solar a big thumbs up and would happily recommend this company to others.

Had our Solar Edge PV system enhanced with a new Inverter, bigger battery, new integrated water heater, improved electrical wiring with dedicated consumer unit and new controlling meter by Sheerwater Solar. We found their thoroughness and competent engineers very professional and clearly very well trained in dealing with this technology. They walked us through each component of our new system and liaised with Solar Edge (product supplier) to ensure the android app on our mobile phone worked properly and displayed our power production and usage. Throughout our dealings with Sheerwater Solar, from system review, offering alternate system upgrade quotes, installation and follow up paperwork we found them professional and worthy of recommendation.

Straightforward well informed quote through to handover was excellent.
Install 8 months ago there are definite worthwhile savings on electrical bills, hot water comes for free in the summer months!
Tomorrow we are getting a couple more panels and battery fitted.

We select Sheerwater Solar as they were very approachable and responsive to our questions.
The actual installation was quick and to my expectations. The team were professional , helpful and kept me informed.
I did not click 'Good value' as that has still to be proven through the system performance - but it is looking hopeful.
We were very please with Sheerwater Solar, the one area that could be improved are some areas of the Handover Pack

The following comments are applicable to all the prospective suppliers, prospective buyers should note
- The information provided by the various tenderers appeared sensible at the time. However it was only when the system is operational that you fully start to understand how and where the savings are achieved.
- The installed system includes a battery, looking back now there was no significant advice given as to the most economical size of battery.
- in retrospect revising the 'Predicted System Performance' there does appear to be weaknesses in the way it is presented

I cannot fault any part of my engagement with Sheerwater Solar from the initial discussion, discussing the benefits of the different options to the end result which looks amazing and is performing extremely well. We had a 5.5kw in-roof system, with 15kw battery and an EV charger. Can’t recommend them highly enough!
