Was a big fan of V3 and even the 1st iteration watch, they were unsightly to wear but highly accurate. Been quite disappointed with the x5...it looks good as a watch, but that's about it. Spend way too much time editing missed shots, or correcting the club that was actually used. The touch screen is way too sensitive, many taps to get to where you need to be, always getting the wrong screen. Worst of all, click on GPS + tracking, and it's only doing GPS. Have lost entire rounds out of frustation with having to go through the menu's again. Can not recommend for anyone who may be considering.

Update...now GPS tracking is off by 20 yards on every hole!

TLDR; At first I liked the overall idea but after playing one round with the new Connex product I think it's overly complex. overall I didn't realize until I used it that the pucks aren't necessary at all

When using the pucks and app it took to long to get an accurate update on yardage. I had full reception but I I understand there is variance with GPS speed. But sometimes when scanning my phone vibrated acting like it worked but later found out that it didn't so that whole hole is not reliable with the score or yardage. The UI is to complicated to quickly fix the miss scans or drops. Should be able to add penalty shots and shot history per hole on the scan screen especially since it's slide to unlock which is cumbersome
After using the product I wondered why I can't just click the club I'm using in the UI rather than fiddling with a spotty nfc chip in each puck on the club.
I have a a couple more complaints or points where it would improve the user experience but overall I didn't realize until I used it that the pucks aren't necessary at all

I can but support recent reviews on the X5. I had a V3 which was/is a great golf watch. I received an offer from Shotscope of £100 off on an X5, which I took up and gave away my V3 for a charity auction. What a dreadful mistake! Couldn't get the X5 to work properly. After giving feedback to Shotscope, 3 or 4 Firmware updates came out in under a week. Watch worked perfectly for five weeks and then all sorts of issues again with the software (couldn't access the menu, watch stuck on the first hole, touch screen not functioning) so demanded a refund which I obtained. Clearly the X5 was launched without proper testing. Customer Support, which is email only, is completely dysfunctional. A great shame as theoretically this could be a great product. Avoid.

Have the new X5 - numerous Firmware updates have played approx 8 rounds with it and haven't managed to record a round successfully as it frequently crashes. Most significant issue however is it doesn't detect the club I have - which is the core reason I use it. The two stars are given because I have emailed and not received any response. I then looked for a telephone number and there isnt one. So my last resort is to post this. Ive owned all of the previous watches so been a loyal customer for many years. If it gets resolved I will update this review

Update - I was offered a refund and said I would wait for next firmware release which has for me turned out to be stable - so the product is now working for me and I'm very happy and have upgraded my review for 2 to 4 stars.

The only thing I can complain about now is my own golf swing!!

Was given this as a birthday present at the start of the season this year and what an impact it's had on my game. Not only do you get fantastically accurate distances due to the GPS on the watch but you are also able to average out your distances with each club that is to the individual tags for your clubs. So easy to set up and use around different courses. The analysis facilities available after a round as well help you focus on the areas of opportunity in your game to enhance practice time on things that really matter. Worth every penny and a fantastic buy for any golfer of any ability to help improve your game going forward.

Great piece of kit, simple to use and provides a mountain of useful information. Battery life is excellent.

My golf has improved knowing the distance I actually hit the ball and not how far I think I can hit it.

Would love it if the watch would recommend a club based on the distance and your stats for hitting that distance.

Have been using Shot Scope for nearly two years now. Bought a V1 which was great for learning distances of each club. Upgraded to V2 when it came out and I can honestly say this is a brilliant bit of kit. Not only do I get all the stats on my round, but the GPS system gives great accuracy and the stats, which are regularly updated with new tools, let’s you see where your game is suffering and where you need to practice. Using it is simple with the club tags, so no messing on the course. Love the new medals and leaderboards so you can measure your performance against other users. Add to that great customer service and it’s a winner. Highly recommended. Richard, 12 handicap.

This is now my 3rd different model of GPS watch and tracking system. I was on Game Golf before. The tags, shot tracking, and distances are all seamless. It picks up 99% of the shots I play (off 7 with a fast shot speed) but I used to forget with GG, so this system is excellent.
Battery power lasts over a full round now, not tested 36 holes in a day, yet. But no issues over 18.
Uploading rounds is fantastic and so easy, compared to other systems.
Also the target ranges are excellent which I use in conjunction with a laser for the pins. Really adds something to know the depth of green I have to work with.
All round would recommend this to any golfer.
