Today I tripped and fell heavily into your front door. Luckily your friendly assistant said the glass was toughened and it wouldn't have shattered but I have hurt my left arm, left foot and my left knee. Apparently another customer had the same experience but couldn’t stop themselves from hitting their head on the glass. When I looked outside to see how the fall may have happened I saw that the kerb outside the door is full height and not sloping as should be the case outside a main door. The sloping part of the kerb that does exist is much to the left of the door but blocked by merchandise, plus when I fell, a group of school children were milling about outside the shop and entry to the shop was tricky. This generally good and friendly garage must look into the kerb arrangement outside the main door or someone else will be more seriously hurt than me. Meanwhile I nurse my wounds and hope that changes will be made to encourage me to keep buying my diesel here. I applaud your shop assistant for being kind and helpful during this difficult experience.

Think it may be the only place in sidmouth to get petrol! Well stocked shop though. Always busy!!

Only popped in for tobacco but the staff were friendly and very helpful with my selection. Great service

I have been using this garage since moving here a little over 3 years ago. Even when prices have been higher than others preferring to use local services.
However after my experience today I will never use it again and what is more shall tell everyone I know of my experience and the disgusting attitude of the person behind the counter.
He was extremely rude from the outset and this just deteriorated to the point of him shouting "NO SCREECHING" at me and accusing me of discriminating against him calling him a Scottish something or other that as I do not swear I would not repeat.

I have spent over 30 years working in Hospitality as a manager and know how to communicate, therefore I decided not to converse at this level and just let him carry on.

He was very volatile threatening and I did wonder if had been drinking. A scary experience for an elderly disabled person!!!

All this whilst his Manager stood in the shop listening. "this says a lot for there customer service and more-so the staff training (if any)

In my opinion neither of them are suitable or fit to be in a customer facing role.

Maybe small but only place in town now open 11/7, not the cheapest for fuel but only garage in town with handy facilities.

For fuel in a pinch, this place is ok, but the forecourt is rather cramped, and there was a lot of old signage laying around the edges. The fuel lines don't reach to either side of the car, so i imagine there are often queues here (although due to the cramped nature, it would mean queuing on the road). The staff seemed miserable when we stopped here. Also found the price of petrol was 10p more than the nearest supermarket forecourt - thankfully we chose to fuel up elsewhere and only stopped to get some oil. Probably won't be in the area again for some time, but definitely won't be coming here for fuel!

Since the pumps were upgraded the fuel delivery is quicker. Aside from that, prices are very steep, on the forecourt and in the store, though what else would you expect from the only fuel station in Sidmouth.
If you're in a fix or don't want to travel further for fuel or snacks then it'll do.

Only fuel stop in town. The only downside is the old man that works there in the mornings. Never met or had to deal with anyone as cantankerous and ill mannered as him. They open at 6am but at 5:59 he was outside and told me I couldn’t go in as he wasn’t ready. I’ve even been in at 6am and he’s behind the counter telling me to wait as he’s counting the money in the till or sorting the Costa coffee machine so I’m still stood waiting to be served.
