Can’t recommend any higher than my experience with Simpson Oils. Ordered heating fuel at 1130 and it was delivered 2 hours later! Spoke to Amanda - absolutely superb. Very friendly and super efficient. Fantastic service all round

We ordered oil 10 days ago telling them we were really low. They said it would likely be a week but would try to get it here earlier. After 7 days we rang to say we were dry and it still wasn’t coming. Again today I rang and still not due today. We’ve been ordering oil for 30 years and we’ve never had such a poor delivery service in terms of timescale. Highland Fuels were always very good at getting it to us. I’m not sure I’ll use Simpsons again.

They seem to have gone down hill dramatically & sadly almost have a monopoly in this unvetted market.
'its out for delivery' 2x days on the trot, 3days later still waiting - 'you're on our priorty list' no, we're really not.
Try Oilfast, they seem the best alternative.

There is a note on our file saying “DO NOT USE LARGER OLD TANK, NEW TANK IS AT SIDE OF HOUSE.”

Yet the gentleman advised he was too busy admiring our views, and accidentally put 300 litres in the old tank, 200 in the new.

It’s 3 weeks now and no one has resolved the issue. I’ve had calls hung up on me, calls never returned as promised, and the manager said it was our fault for not removing the old tank! Absolutely atrocious service.

We have 200 litres of oil to last the winter. Thank you Simpsons Oils.

Ordered oil three weeks ago (12.01.24), still not arrived. Spoken to multiple staff and the manager and have just been continually mugged off. Now been dry for a week and told to just go and buy oil drums ~ hard when your husband is away and your car is in for an MOT. This is all despite phoning EVERY DAY since 19.01.24

Dangerously incompetent

Simpsons have consistently lied about when they would deliver and left me with no fuel during a sever cold snap. This company cannot be trusted.
I ran out of Kero two Saturdays ago and called Simpsons on Monday last. I was told the delivery would “definitely come this week”. When it hadn’t arrived by Thursday I called up and was told “we should be there tomorrow, if not, then definitely on Monday”. I called on Monday morning and was told “we’ll definitely be there today”, I called back at 4.30pm only to be told they weren’t coming.
I’ve been without fuel for ten days now. The average temperature has been -2oC. with lows of -6oC. At any stage, Simpsons could’ve told me how long it would really be and I would’ve made alternative arrangements. Instead, I believed their lies and sat, freezing to death, waiting for them to arrive. They couldn’t have cared less.
I’ve been a loyal customer for four years, in which time they were great- hence why I trusted their word, but this is totally unforgivable. Such a shame to see a good company go to the dogs.

Coming to my rescue once again! this will be at least the second time I've ran my heating oil tank dry and they've promise to make delivery on the day yet again. Fantastic service and at the most competitive price too. Highly recommend 🙂

Had fuel delivered twice before, always a friendly driver. Would buy oil again as their prices are probably the best in the Highland region.
