After getting so many quotes from another installers I pick Skylar Solar. Because they offered one of the best offers for a large system with 610 and 460 panels. ( just to say none of the offers if final and its always room to negotiate 🙂 ) Salesperson Andy was very knowledgeable and very helpful. The installers were very friendly and helpful. They work extremely hard to push 2 days job in one day.
I definitely would recommend them, because not unlike local installers they will go for the G99 application and even suggested putting in the contract that if they won't manage to get a minimum export they are happy to cancel the contract without any charges. They won't take any deposit until the job is done and I'm happy with the installation.
They are not perfect. They left small rubbish around as they worked. Like clips and mesh cut-offs, but they in my opinion at least one of the better installers. They did everything I asked them and more.

Just HIES insurance was sent under “Staybright Energy LTD“ the company name, not Skylar Solar.

We had our solar and car charging system fitted 2 months ago and have had no issues at all. The team at Skylar were great to deal with, could not do more to help. Such a hard working and friendly team. The sales experience was totally not pushy and very informative, the install was excellently managed, despite our ‘challenging’ fuseboard positioning and the team went above and beyond to get the system up and running for us as quickly as possible. Even the logistics around the scaffold was well managed with it up and down within a day each side of the install. Aftercare has been great, just a few teething issues with the app, but we are delighted with our install and have recommended Skylar to friends!

I did a lot of research before I finally settled on SkyLar Solar as the company of choice for my solar system install and I’m very pleased with the result. They met my expectations with a professional install very neatly done, this is just what I wanted. Seamless process from start to finish, initially started speaking with Andy to design the system and get a survey booked in (he’s incredibly knowledgeable) and then was handed over to Payton to see me through to the installation completion, Payton was fab and very responsive (even with my thousand questions, thank you…!). Finally, the install team were fantastic and did a really clean job.

I had considered getting solar panels when we first moved into our home and later looked into battery only storage during the Covid lockdowns, but the prices were always just out of reach. fast forward to July 2024, the costs dropped significantly, so I decided to move forward with a solar and battery system. The tech had also advanced quite a bit since I last explored these options.

I contacted five different solar companies for quotes and used a spreadsheet to make it easier to compare the quotes. The spreadsheets included columns of positives and negatives of company. All the salespeople were knowledgeable and professional, but the prices and equipment(branding) varied. Skylar Solar scored high on positives of company, but they weren’t the cheapest option. What made me go with Skylar Solar was how they responded to the few negative reviews they received. They came across as genuinely caring and honest. With my background, I don’t usually trust reviews, but you can really tell a lot from how a company responds to feedback—this made a big difference to me.

Skylar Solar also introduced me to a product I hadn’t come across before (Sienergy), and after doing some research, I was really impressed.

From my very first contact with Lyster, Payton, the scaffolding team, the electrician, Davon, and even the UK & Ireland tech support guy (apologies for forgetting your name), everyone was fantastic. None of my questions were ever brushed off, and I always felt supported by the team. The paperwork was processed swiftly, and I’ve already recommended Skylar Solar to friends.

After significant research we decided to go with SKYLAR for several reasons, including cost, and their up to date information regarding the installation of batteries. We rated their customer service - they were helpful and patient, and explained stuff in language we could understand. They answered email/text enquiries promptly. They organised the installation and carried it all out just as they said they would. The person who did the survey was excellent, polite and informative. The two people who carried out the install were excellent both with ourselves and in the way they helped each other. We were most impressed. They also left the site clean and tidy, and the scaffolding was removed within a couple of days.
All the paperwork came through promptly, the panels work (!) and we are delighted with our choice.
