I would very much doubt that this is a genuine review! Smart Energy West Midlands Ltd have just finished an installation at my property. I raised a complaint with them over damage caused by them to my bathroom and refused to sign my completion documents until this was resolved.
Instead of compensating for the damage, they decided bypass my and get my landlord to sign for the work. Work which he hadn’t seen and was unaware of my issues.
They also have no regard for basic health & safety measures, which I have had to report to the Health & Safety Executors. Thinking it okay to send 1 man to do the work of 3 and also thinking it okay to balance a skip on 2 front garden walls, overhanging onto the pavement, because the manager who organised the skip didn’t get a road permit, or the correct skip for plasterboard.
They also had the audacity to try to charge me £200 for this skip and then when they took the rubbish away themselves still wanted the £200, which had never been mentioned before.

The director Mr Matthew Dransfield told his manager to take the £200 for the skip off the money offered for the compensation for my bathroom! A skip that wasn’t used and wasn’t correct!!!

Be very wary of how this company operates!!!

I do have to say that the majority of their install team are fantastic especially Will, Dave & Kieran, it’s just shoddy management!

Smart Energy surveyed my home and installed central heating, loft insulation and air vents and fans. From the start, SE were professional, engaging and knowledgeable. Also, they were creative in designing or planning and, in general, skilful in completing the project. I’d be happy to recommend.

Top company, had a new Worcester Bosch boiler installed by Smart Energy WM. Brian the surveyor came round bang on time for the appointment. Brian was really helpful and gave us a few different options and advice on our options. No sales pressure, just good advice and available options. He left us overnight to mull over our choice and advised Louise would call us the next day to check if we wanted to proceed. As promised Louise called the next day to discuss finance options and take a deposit, she was really helpful and we placed our order. It was a very smooth process. Within 30 mins we had a date for our work to commence. Again as promised the engineer Tom called us en route with a ETA and arrived on time. We were a little concerned as we have a light coloured carpet in the hallway but as soon as Tom arrived he covered all the carpets in the areas of works with a product I’ve not seen before, called roll and stroll, it’s a thick sticky cling film carpet protector which was great. The installation went very smoothly and the electrician arrived in the PM to install our Hive and he very patiently showed us how it works. From start to finish Smart Energy were brilliant and I would highly recommend them as a trustworthy company. Keep up the good work guys and thank you

Extremely professional company to deal with. Military precision and professional from beginning to end. Competitive prices and go the extra mile.

Friendly staff, arrive on time to appointments. The range of people I came in contact with: boiler installer, electrician, initial appointment and follow up service. We're all friendly, professional, honest and had integrity.

The workmanship was A+, clean, fast and explained afterwards how to look after installation.

It can be a risk choosing a company to carry out work, with limited information available. Futhermore it's also difficult to distinguish between different companies as there are so many available online - Google search.

It' can be very difficult to get professional, competent and skilled tradesman. With so many charlatans, poor workmanship, and doggy builders around

This company had everything from the experience I had with them, kudos to the owner.

I would not hesitate to recommend this company to family and friends. I wish the company and staff the very best going forward and continue to provide the A+ service - rare these days.

Absolutely fantastic service from Kevin, Mark and co.... above and beyond all the way. Helped my elderly father and did a phenomenal and professional job throughout with insulation, ventilation and central heating installation. Can't praise these chaps enough. They've changed my father's living conditions for the better in so many ways. They worked swiftly and did a perfect job throughout!

Absolutely appalled by this company. We had a surveyor knock on our door back in November. He drilled holes in our walls and checked our boiler. He asked us to fill out forms and stated we might be entitled to the government grant for topping up of the insulation and a new boiler. So we filled everything out and thought nothing more of it. We don't tend to get anything for free and thought that would be the end of it. However, to our surprise we received a call yesterday stating we were entitled to insulation top up, a new boiler and ventilation checks. I was over the moon. I was advised two men would be out today afternoon time. To my surprise they turned up just after 11am. When I asked for ID the guy told me he had left it in another vehicle and told me to call the office who would confirm who he is. This made me very nervous and I felt extremely vulnerable as I was on my own. The guy then proceeded to ask me questions. He asked me what work did they need to do. I told him I didn't know and surely he should. He then took one look at my property and told me he couldn't do the insulation work. When I asked why, he told me he didn't know. Which again I found very strange. He left, telling me to call the office. I did, and the lady told me that there were holes in our property walls and therefore the insulation has already been done, ages back. And is under warranty. Therefore, no top up of insulation, no new boiler and no ventilation check. What a waste of my time and what a very disorganised and untrained company. They got our hopes up despite my asking several times is this real, legit, really happening.
