Have been with this company for 5 years. Realised a couple months ago the display on our gas meter wasn’t displaying. Phoned them ,advised to send a video less than 8 seconds.long this was around 4 weeks ago. Have now sent it twice. Emailed to ask them to respond and phoned also. Still nothing back except an email saying was my recent interaction positive and could I review them. We are paying monthly on a plan but will be leaving asap. I’m disappointed with their lack of support to get this resolved.

SO Energy are an excellent company to do business with. I had a query, 9 AM on Monday morning, expected an interminable wait on my call to Customer Service. Not at all. Waited a few minutes at most, the Agent that I spoke to was extremely knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. Issue resolved very quickly, I went away a happy customer.

I've been with so energy for some time now, not only are there staff always polite and helpful, but if for example there's a price increase coming up, like the one arriving soon they will contact you the customer and not only let you know but recommend the best tarrif for you to save you money, great company excellent service I would highly recommend them to anyone. I would like to add to my review I've been reading through some reviews on this site and can't believe my eyes, I've had two minor problems with so energy, the first one was dealt with promptly by customer service, the second I got a call from someone more senior,this is still a relatively young company and merged with another company during all the price increases and when some businesses were going to the wall.
So I believe a bit of patience and go through the right channels and your problems and queries will get sorted,I had worse customer service with British gas and in fairness they should know how to deal with problems better.

we had issues with our meter moving over with another energy supplier and despite being in contact with them, they never picked this up. I then wanted to settle the bill promptly and it has taken 3 months and it still hasn't been sorted. I have spoken with so many different people online which gets me nowhere and have been ignored by a senior member of the team for 2 months now! I just want to pay my bill and for this to be over!

just GOOGLE - SO ENERGY BILL PROBLEM

How can I get So Energy to sort out our £524 bill problem?

SO ENERGY BOTTOM OF THE HEAP in 2024 Customer Satisfaction Performance tied with BRITISH GAS by Which Magazine

SO ENERGY took over my account from ESB Energy without providing me a FINAL BILL and not informing me of a high balance that was simply transferred over with ultra high ESTIMATED meter readings that did not correspond to my actual meter! recordings!

They then persistently continued to bill me with estimated meter readings allowing my bill to accumulate to thousands of pounds, without ever sending me a hard copy of my monthly bill as per my request.

COMPLAINING TO THE OMBUDSMAN IS also a non starter. They are paid by the energy suppliers which they are supposed to investigate, they clearly aren't independent and are most likely there to find out the strength of your case and if your case is actionable at County Court on behalf of the energy supplier who has access to all information you supply the Ombudsman.

When one sends an email to SO ENERGY it is never RESPONDED to, undertakings are not kept, promised return calls are not kept, it is practically impossible to contact SO ENERGY, clearly not a customer service oriented company as they claim they are. They are good at sending FINAL BILLS also based on ESTIMATES though.

The No. one British supplier in the UK is no doubt OCTOPUS ENERGY also rated highly on WHICH magazine and not without good reason. Will be switching to them once this mess with SO ENERGY is sorted.

Customer service is poor. Communication is poor. Our smart meter has never worked and they managed to register it against an address that doesn’t exist, I still got to pay the bill but can’t move providers until they sort it out. Found this issue in January 2024, still waiting for it to be sorted September 2024.

Just renewed my energy bills with So Energy. The new tariff is cheaper than my previous and the agent I spoke to (Amal) was so helpful and explained everything so clearly. I would definitely recommend this company.
