Once we had decided to proceed the installation process was professionally managed and we were kept informed of progress every step of the way. Solar Plus Yorkshire Ltd fitted an Edi and Harvi device to our existing solar system as well as some undertaking maintenance work on the panels. Mark is clearly very knowledgeable concerning renewable energy systems and his advice was both professional and very useful. The Edi was installed promptly and efficiently and now controls my immersion heater on a daily basis providing me with useful analysis of power generation - all exactly as described by Mark. The team returned very promptly to resolve a minor issue with the system and also undertook some extra maintenance work re-securing a panel on my roof, I was very grateful that this could be completed quickly before the storms of the next few days. I would definitely use Solar Plus for work in the future

Contacted Solar Plus along with 3 other potential installers looking at a combined 6kW and Battery system for an old Victorian house. Dealings with Mark showed him to be very friendly, knowledgeable and driven and over the course of discussing our requirements and reworking the designs the team came twice to assess the house. With an old house roof I was very reassured that age/ difficulty of access and securing the slate were part of their assessment process and decided to go with Mark and the team. Couldn't have been happier with the decision- installation team of Callum, George & Jack were all great guys to have at the house and took late design changes and challenges that the house threw at them in their stride- with the difficulties install took longer than predicted but was all handled by solar plus without complaint. Mark was always available throughout and onsite himself at several points. Approach was definitely to advise and there was no hard sell of any product- am delighted with the system we've got and the service we've had from solar plus and would (and have) recommend(ed) them to others. Right from the start the communication from SPY was excellent. The quote was produced promptly and amended to suit our particular needs. The workmanship was excellent and even with a loss of time due to bad weather the whole installation was up and running quite quickly. We were given thorough instructions on using the system and follow up calls were made. All in all we could not be happier with the system and Solar Plus. Thoroughly recommended

I had my panels installed in 2014. Now, 10 years later I needed help with upgrading them and I must say that Solar Plus Yorkshire have been excellent in coming out on site immediately and sorting out the upgrade very quickly.
Good after sales service seems to be a rarity today, but I cannot fault Solar Plus Yorkshire for their service. I can confidently recommend this company to anyone considering having Solar Panels fitted.

We approached Solarplus in May 2022 having decided that we wanted a solar PV system to reduce our electricity bills and to be independent of the grid for up to 24 hours if needed.

We wanted a local firm with a proven track record and chose Solarplus because they met our requirements, being local based, highly experienced and professional. They knew exactly what they were doing and Mark, the owner who is very well versed with the manufacturers and options in the market, produced a very comprehensive and detailed proposal taking into account all our requirements.

We were particularly concerned with maintaining the integrity of our roof and Mark put our concerns to rest with his recommendation of Schletter roof and rail fittings and the comprehensive roof sealing system, which has successfully sealed the roof against rain ingress.

Mark ran a few scenarios based around our requirements and available roof space and he proposed a 12 panel array of J A Solar 385w panels with a nominal array output of 4.6 kw and a 3.6 kw inverter; as our roof is east facing and we can expect 80% - 85% of peak output due to this orientation. We also ordered 10 kw Pylontech batteries that we subsequently increased to 15 kw which, in hindsight, was the correct decision as they are fully charged by 14:00 hrs on most sunny days from April onwards.

Furthermore we can’t praise the installation and commissioning team of Jack and Callum highly enough. They kept us informed on arrival times and scheduled activities, they were very knowledgeable and competent and professional as well as being respectful, polite, diligent and happy to answer any questions. They took their time over the installation and did a beautiful job installing the PV panels and wiring up and installing the inverter and batteries and connection it to our existing electrical system.

Backup service is very important as you get to understand your PV system, although it can be as easy as fit and forget and Mark is easily contactable to resolve any queries.

We would highly recommend Solarplus for PV installations.

My solar generation meter stopped working. I spoke with Mark who called later that day and Callum came and fitted a new meter the next morning! Mark is very knowledgeable about solar and indeed all aspects of heating and sustainable green energy. He is able to advise on what works well and what can be improved. There is no unrealistic marketing and ‘hard sell’. Mark was only interested in finding the best solutions for my property. I will use Solar Plus Yorkshire again and recommend them without any reservations.

Got 6kw solar system and 8.5 battery installed right from the get go aye found mark and the team really helpful they turned up when they said they would they took there time to make sure everything was correct and in order. Started making great savings on my energy bills through solar plus Yorkshire.
