Having done extensive research I had my solar system installed in April 2024 and opted to use Solar Services Scotland after reading the reviews and several calls where all my questions were answered and my mind was put at ease.

My main concern when comparing companies were around the paperwork and certification as I saw lots of reviews from various companies where people had issue with sign of.

The installation was done in a day to a high standard and the engineers were tidy and knowledgeable. The paperwork was submitted in a time fashion with no issues.

Yesterday I had the guys back out adding a second battery to get more from the cheap overnight charging. It’s November and I’m still watching my electricity balance going up I couldn’t be happier !

System has been fitted in August 22, dealt with Jim at the company. Had a 2nd fitted battery in January 2023. Developed several error codes. Contacted the company, I eventually contacted solis and puredrive who resolved the problems.
Over the year, I contacted Jim in relation to the extend warranty for the Solis inverter from 5 years to 10 years. Phoned Solis today, told company hadn't applied for extension, must done in 1st year, after a year, too late. Definitely not impressed, I had got another quote recently from Jim to extend my system, but now after going over the issues I've had, I decided against this company.
Price I was given was a "special" price, but several other companies have easily beaten it.
What companies forget, aftersales support is just as important. Solar services scotland unfortunately has forgot this.

System installed five years ago. Inverter failed four months before guarantee ran out. Contacted H/O in Yorkshire and things were dealt with very efficiently and properly in every way. Replacement inverter wasn't working so another order, another visit. Scottish Manager authorised loan of an inverter till new one arrived. New one installed now,small repair made on the roof and nothing to pay! Absolutely tops. Many thanks.

We had our solar panels repaired by this company . The engineer was really good at experience the work they carried out and they bird proofed the roof as well.
Called on Saturday and was done on the Tuesday
