I required 2x Aiko 460w solar panels for an ongoing project and I decided to purchase them off solar trade sales. I contacted the sales team and spoke to Mr Will Copeland as I needed to confirm the specifications of the panel prior to purchasing. Mr Copeland confirmed the panels matched my requirements, which also matched the panel displayed on their website. Therefore, I proceeded and purchased the panels.

When the panels arrived on site, I discovered that Solar Trade Sales had delivered the wrong panels. I then had to reject the delivery and return the goods (Photos attached).

I have since contacted Solar trade sales and Mr Copeland to get a refund on the delivery charge to which both the customer service and Mr Copeland have disappeared.

I would suggest contractors and consumers avoid purchasing products from Solar Trade Sales if they wish to deal with a reputable and honest wholesaler.

Edit: In response to Solar Trade Sales response, it is important to note, Solar Trade sales have only refunded the cost of the panel and not the delivery charge, I am now out of pocket for their mistake. Considering I am a director a solar installation company with 3 installation teams, you would have thought Solar Trade Sales would have been keen to create a working relationship for continued business. It’s quite disappointing that in the last 3 months since I left this review, nobody from the company including Mr Copeland and “customer services” has contacted me to discuss the issue.

Not happy
"customer service" not interested in servicing the needs of the customer.
items not delivered due to bad packaging and unclear delivery note.
blame put on me though I informed the driver immediately. virtually slammed the phone down on me and cancelled order rather than seeking what I needed to complete the job and move forward.
initially tried to get me to stump cost of replacement until she found out it was only £3 then gave a credit for the £3 after she "consulted with her MD" Lied that she asked MD because she later claimed there was no way to contact MD when I was seeking a route to a complaints procedure that did not go straight back to (her) "customer service"

on a positive note they deserve the 1 star for the great website, fast delivery and keen prices.

unfortunately that is not enough when partnering with another company to try and deliver the best experience for my customers. solar installations are testing enough without having difficult to deal with suppliers.

on another note I have been waiting weeks for the installation instructions for their 8.33 panels so I can prove to MCS I have complied with manufacturers instructions despite emailing their suppliers to chase it up
lets see how that goes!

These guys have supplied for our operations for around 4-5 years now. My ops manager is in daily, if not hourly contact with Joe who never fails to deliver. With a dedicated driver on site before 10am on virtually every job, Solar Trade are every much a team member as our technician, roofer, surveyor, admin and back end team.

These people have a real bad attitude and are very unhelpful. Lazy and lathargic. I was going to make a big purchase from them but the sales service was diabolical not wanting to really help.

Typical tactics to avoid giving a quote and deflecting responsibility.

I read the poor reviews and now understand them.

Appalling company, tried to use them for the first time for an install with a new customer. Items missing from my order which I was not informed about until the delivery date had passed (I made sure they where in stock before I placed our order, now there not in stock and I get lies). Advertising products on their website they do not even sell (conveniently now removed) and a very incompetent customer services team. My companies reputation will take a hit for their incompetence. PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE USING SOLAR TRADE

Ordered a dozen panels, connectors, mounting system around a month or so ago. Ryan was helpful, took payment and the whole order was delivered the following day, complete with no issues.

Part arrived very quickly, but was damaged in transit. Customer services were able to dispatch a replacement within a few days.
