I wouldn't buy SolarEdge products (which are not cheap!)unless you are happy with totally rubbish aftercare.
No point having a good product if it's useless because they don't support it properly. I wouldn't be surprised to see a class action lawsuit coming soon in the UK.

Very poor customer service (as others have stated). My SolarEdge inverter stopped accepting power from the solar panels via SolarEdge optimisers at 07:45 (BST) on 29/08/2024. The inverter WiFi stopped working on 07/09/2024 and does not appear as a selectable option ('Ethernet Cable not Connected' displayed). No option as a system owner to log in to 'SetApp' to enable WiFi within the Inverter and also perform inverter software updates - I have no control over the system that I own! I can't even adjust charge and discharge times for the SolarEdge battery now. Totally unacceptable! I will not be purchasing any further SolarEdge products or recommending them.

Their systems seem good but their support is absolutely dreadful. Chucked from pillar to post across different countries helplines (?) and they only answer the phone half the time. Won’t be using their products again, and this is a £40k job

Part 1 No Stars Everything works well until there is a problem. No solar generation since September 15. Apparently need a new part. The SolarEdge team do not answer emails requesting an update. Responding to customers even if it is just a response saying we are still waiting for the part, I have chased the parent company, I will give you an update in the next week, is just basic customer service. Instead we get no response at all to any emails which frankly just hacks customers off. Will now chase the MD of the parent company once I can find out where it is based and hopefully they can give the managers who look after the UK a boot up the backside. They deserve one. UPDATE company responded and sent round an engineer who sorted out the communication issue with system. Very helpful engineer. System now working for several months with no issues

Update

Finally, after 6 months there was a reply to this post. 6 months earlier we had threatened to charge them for each day of "storing" the scaffolding on our property. The scaffolding was removed within 3 Days. Money talks!

After the long delayed repair under warranty we are stuck with scaffolding at our home for weeks. Requests for a speedy removal are ignored. We are in our seventies and feel vulnerable with the scaffolding ladders reaching to our bedroom windows. There is almost no light in our rooms during these dark months either.
How difficult can it be to have the scaffolding removed?

Sadly I wish I had seen this before spending so much money with this company. As with others, the product is seemingly great but the muppets that work on 'support' really are stupid. I know the technical standards they are purporting to expecting and they frankly haven't a clue on fault finding - surprised the installers weren't told to wear brand new clothes, stand on one leg as chanting when connecting the wires for all the sense these people talk. Often contradict and then deny knowledge of prior conversations so always get a copy and a recording of all conversations - don't trust them as they aren't worth it on support. I even had to wait for a fortnight for a replacement board to be sent for a brand new item that was apparently faulty. The part sent wasn't even remotely for the unit and not needed anyhow thus proving once again they are total idiots!

Very poor customer service. Inverter failed and it will be nearly 4 weeks to get warranty replacement installed due to investigation
process and because it ships from Middle East and will take up to 2 weeks to arrive!!!!! If you are thinking of installing solar PV I would not recommend SolarEdge.
