I've recently had 14 x 415w Jinko solar panels fitted by solar-techs along with a sun synk 3.6 ECCO hybrid inverter and 2 x 5.12kwh IP rated sun synk batteries. From start to finish the job has been floorless and from the initial consultation with David on Friday and finalising with Alex over the weekend we agreed an installation day the following Wednesday! Which was just amazing.
Ben, Liam and Sam were the installation team on the day and did a great job, Sam answered all my technical question of how the system would work and what was what and between them got the whole system fitted in one day 9am-5pm.
After the install Alex then fine tuned how the system worked and explained the more complex options with the inverter and how to change settings like timers charge rates etc through the sun synk app.
What I liked about solar-techs before excepting the quote was Alex's personalised video of what I can expect from the system and showing examples of other systems they've installed and how they perform and how all the information will be shown on your online account.
Alex has been back to the house after install to cast eyes over the install and to make sure I'm happy.
Initially i was unsure at first about choosing solar-techs because of the lack of Google reviews but it seems to have been a great choice and the system has already produced up to a 5777 watt peak on one day in August, I know it won't always be that high but it's reassuring it's capable of it.
I think they are now going to ask for more reviews off people after installs to boost the business and it's also reassuring to know they have master installer status.
All in all I'm really happy with the system and I'm confident the equipment installed will last a lot longer than the warrantied time.

The horrific Energy costs of Winter 22 spurred us on to invest in some modern technology plus the equipment had become a little bit more affordable over recent years with a shorter payback term. Chose Solar Techs out of our three quotes largely due to their presentation, competitive price, good kit and being local we thought a big plus. Installation date came quite quick with a Team of four arriving at 08;00 hours. Twelve Panels, a Hybrid Sunsynk Invertor, a 5kw Sunsynk battery and a Zappi 7kw EV car charger all installed neatly and up and running by 14;30 ! (bearing in mind we are in a Bungalow). On completion was visited by the Tech Director to check all Ok and to hand over the Info Pack. Found the performance impressive and the Sunsynk App. on my phone amazing ! Elec energy bills have taken a big hit and can't wait to get up and running with Octopus Flux to get paid a reasonable rate for any "surplus" power generated and be able to put 14kw into my car during the cheap early morning window. A couple of minor issues was quickly responded to same day by Solar-Techs.
Payback should not take too long especially when you see the PV array capable of producing 5kw for up to 8 hours a day in the height of Summer. I also feel that we are doing our own little bit to save the planet.

Solar-Techs gave a more detailed and comprehensive quote than the other companies we contacted, with a great explanation of how the system would work. When we placed the order they installed the panels and battery very quickly before we left to go on holiday, and the installation, follow-up, optimisation and overall support were all done with a great team of people. I would thoroughly recommend Solar-Techs based on our experience with them!

Sadly I have no photos but we had solar panels fitted last Summer and are really pleased because we use so much less grid then before. This will bring our electric bill down by about 300 to 500 pound saving. I'm trying to convert the Albemarle music centre to have them as well. Really impressed. They fitted the roof and connections in 1 day. Excellent job. Jayne

One of the most professional and efficient companies i’ve had the pleasure of doing business with them.
The whole team were very helpful from my first phone call with them.
Alex was attended on the survey day and had an amazing presentation that explained all you needed to know about solar panels.
After doing my research, I got back in contact with him the next day and the fitting was booked within 3 days!
The whole team that came were very professional and on the ball.
They finished the work in half a day and the solar panels were up and running.
Six weeks down the line now, I’m glad to say my electricity savings have come down from £300 a month (as i have an electric car) to £70 and that was without the export as the export tariff takes about 4 weeks or so to set up by the electric company.
I expect that by the end of this month with the current export rate, I’ll probably be self sufficient and not pay for any electricity from the grid during the summer months.
Overall, an A+ experience and would highly recommend the company.

Our journey into solar panels started about 15 months ago. After much searching on the internet, we made approaches to 3 companies, of which Solar Techs, or Envolve as it was then, was one. Of the three, Envolve were the first to come back to me.
Alex Hall called to discuss the possibilities and to give general advice on how an installation might proceed with additional information about projected cost savings etc. We were hooked, not by the cost savings but by the possibility of greater control and understanding of our electricity usage.

We settled on a plan, 18 panels, a Sunsynk 3.6Kw AC 7kWp hybrid inverter, and two SunSynk 5.16Kwh batteries. A date for the installation was set which was both convenient to us and to Envolve.

On the due day the team arrived, they were great. Friendly and efficient. The installation proceeded and all was looking good until we were informed of a problem securing the batteries. To cut a long story short it was a few weeks before our installation was finally up and running fully but since then all has been perfect. Alex and his team sorted out all of the necessary paperwork over the ensuing weeks so that we were able to maximise on the most efficient tariffs with Octopus, with whom we now enjoy a great nighttime tariff for topping up both the house batteries and the car.

So, has the installation lived up to expectation! most certainly. The app allows us to easily monitor not only generated electricity but also our usage so that we are able to make the best possible use of the power that we produce. Have there been savings! Yes, there have although equating the amount of said savings depends upon the comparison used, especially with the prices applicable over the last 12 months compared with those of the previous 12 months. That said we run a hybrid car. We do perhaps only 3000 miles per annum and if it were to run solely on petrol then it would have cost us circa £540. Over the last 12 months we have spent only £63 on petrol. Our solar panels/batteries have charged the car for the remainder of the mileage covered. If we were to run a fully electric car with average annual mileage of 10,000 miles, then the savings would have been astronomical. This I feel is perhaps the most accurate comparison although savings in our home have exceeded our expectations.

In conclusion, do we regret the outlay for solar, absolutely not. Would we recommend Envolve, Solar Techs as they are now known, most certainly. They do a great job, and they are nice people to deal with. Thank you Alex and your team.

Approached them for a quote and Alex came round and spent a long time explaining the options. We then got a detailed quote and while they did follow it up and offered to answer any questions it wasn’t pushy. He gave the impression that they would monitor our system to ensure we were maximising efficiency.
We had several quotes for solar panels and batteries. Narrowed it down to two. The prices were close enough not to swing it. We went with solar techs because of the knowledge and enthusiasm shown by the staff. We felt they would offer an after sales service to help us maximise the benefits of the system.
The installation took two days, the fitters and electricians worked really quickly and did a neat tidy job. The handover was a little rushed and we were left to figure out the app and settings ourselves which took a while. Fortunately OH is very teccy and after a week of tweaking it was running very efficiently.
We have learned that fitting solar panels is not the end of the process. The systems now are quite sophisticated and there are many tweaks and settings that can help you make the most of them. There are also different tariffs with electricity companies that can help you buy and sell at different rates throughout the day.
Would I recommend - Yes.
