This company is a scam, we are a student house and signed up for their student all included bill package. On the first of march for no reason at all they simply stopped paying our energy supplier whilst still charging us Ā£100 each a month. The energy supplier whacked us with a massive bill and split the bills then claimed to pay this bill in summer but I am still hearing from our supplier in january 2025 claiming the issue wasnā€™t resolved. No apology or anything for the stress it has caused us. Do not sign up.

I wish I could give this company zero stars. After two months of dealing with their horrendous service regarding my WiFi issues, Iā€™m left feeling frustrated and ignored. Each time I reach out, Iā€™m met with empty promises and excuses that seem to get more ridiculous with every interaction. Their customer service is anything but professional and rude; it feels like Iā€™m speaking to a brick wall rather than someone who genuinely cares about resolving my issue.

Despite multiple escalations and reassurances that my problem would be prioritized, nothing has changed. Iā€™ve wasted countless hours on hold and receiving inadequate responses that only add to my frustration. If youā€™re looking for reliability, look elsewhere. Do not choose this bills company, especially if you want Wi-Fi that you have been paying for for over two months. Every time a member of my household has contacted the company we have been sent round in circles and have yet to receive a competent response. Wouldnā€™t recommend this service to anyone.

Absolutely terrible. Please donā€™t waste your money on this absolute shambles of a company. We chose spilt the bills when we moved into our uni house and have been without wifi for 2 MONTHS. We have been in contact with split-the-bills throughout this time period and they have sent us in circles. No help has been given at all. They claim they will chase the problem and then ā€˜forgetā€™. Pathetic excuse for a company. I am ashamed to have chosen them, canā€™t imagine working for them. Disgusting.

Been in our flat for almost two weeks, we're told we would have someone round to install our broadband on the 9th. Took the day off to wait in for it never turned up. We are now on day 12 with no internet in our flat, and all we get is the same response over and over again of "it might have been sent in the post" "we'll let you know when there's an update".

Two weeks we have been living here with no internet and no resolution to it.

Update: we have now had to book our internet privately, and it'll be set up faster than Split the Bills suggested they could do it. To make it worse after being told we would get a refund I have heard nothing from the company.

I cannot express enough how utterly frustrated I am with Split the Bills. For the past two months, I have faced continuous issues with my WiFi service that have gone completely unresolved. Despite multiple attempts to reach out for help, Iā€™ve been tossed around like a hot potato among various companies and representatives, none of whom have provided any real support.

This incompetence has severely hindered my ability to complete university work and manage my finances. Itā€™s unacceptable that a service Iā€™m paying for has become a significant barrier to my daily responsibilities. When I finally requested a discountā€”specifically to waive the WiFi charges during the outageā€”I was met with silence and indifference.

If you value your time and sanity, stay far away from Split the Bills. Their customer service is non-existent, and their ability to resolve issues is nonexistent. Save yourself the headache and choose a company that actually cares about its customers.

I canā€™t in good faith recommend this company to anyone. Please donā€™t sign up. Iā€™ve been living in my flat for nearly 2 months and havenā€™t had any Wifi at all, even though Iā€™m paying for it. Iā€™ve filed complaints, had the issue escalated and done everything in my power to try and solve this problem, but the company just doesnā€™t seem to care. Whilst the customer service team are lovely to talk to, bringing up problems doesnā€™t seem to solve anything. Additionally, United Utilities have my property marked down as empty, so whilst Iā€™ve been using water (and paying for water), they arenā€™t getting the money that Iā€™m sending to Split the Bills. Iā€™ve been told that this problem is being resolved, but Iā€™m at the point where I genuinely donā€™t believe anything they tell me. Now Iā€™m constantly stressing, thinking that my energy isnā€™t sorted out, that my WiFi isnā€™t ever going to be installed and that Iā€™m going to end up paying twice for my water. On top of this, itā€™s expensive. I thought it was worth paying the extra money for, and it probably would be if everything worked as it should.
Please donā€™t use split the bills.

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Split the Bills. Since the start date of July 1st to manage the bills for my 2-bedroom flat in Cardiff, I have been paying a premium for their service but have yet to receive the broadband installation that was promised. Despite multiple assurances that broadband would be set up, the job has never been completed. To make matters worse, I have travelled over 200 miles from my home to Cardiff on several occasions specifically for these appointments, only to find that the installation was not done.

Split the Bills promised to send a Wi-Fi dongle so that I could continue to work, but this never arrived. Repeated promises that broadband installation would be completed have gone unfulfilled, and they consistently fail to follow up on their commitments. Every time Iā€™ve called to resolve the issue, Iā€™ve been promised a callback that never happens.

To add insult to injury, my direct debit amount was randomly increased, despite receiving written confirmation from them that it would be lowered. I have all of this documented in writing, and it is clear that their communication is disorganised and unreliable.

My entire summer has been disrupted by Split the Billsā€™ inability to handle complaints or take any meaningful action. Beyond the inflated cost of their service, they have cost me hundreds of pounds in fuel and wear and tear on my car, not to mention the time and frustration involved in trying to get this resolved.

At this point, it seems the only option left is for me to take legal action against Split the Bills. Their repeated failures to deliver on their promises, along with the financial and personal inconvenience caused, have left me with no other choice. I would strongly advise against using Split the Bills. Their service has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I am still left without the basic services Iā€™ve paid for. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this company at all costs.
