Absolutely unacceptable experience. My booking was canceled just one evening before my arrival, leaving me stranded with no alternative but to book a much more expensive hotel at the last minute. When I reached out for a resolution, the hotel refused to provide any compensation, showing no responsibility for the inconvenience they caused. The customer service was dismissive and unhelpful—clearly, they do not care about their guests. If you want a reliable stay with decent service, avoid this hotel at all costs!

I booked in the StowAway for three nights. Unfortunately there was no heating. The room was freezing. The property is not manned and therefore I contacted the hotel via phone. There was no answer. The following day, after an uncomfortable night stay, i contacted them again. Later that evening I returned to find a tiny heater in my room. They had not fixed the heating in the building and simply supplied a tiny heater. I contacted them again... and was informed 'there is nothing we can do'. I then went to check out to move to another hotel.||Within 5 minutes of hanging up the phone. Another guest appeared in my room. The agent gave my door code to another guest who walked in to pick up the heater for their room!! Completely inappropriate and wrong in so many levels.||Then post stay... it has been a battle to get the stay refunded. They simply couldn't care!

Beds very comfortable. Staff are helpful and friendly but they’re remote. Can’t beat face to face support.

Can be a little noisy with nearby trains.

Kitchenette is missing a few items to make it worthy of the apartment style of accommodation; stove top & toaster. Has one of those microwave ovens that tries to do everything but does nothing well.

It’s fine for 1 or nights.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. Despite being near the train, the noise didn’t bother me—I slept like a baby. It would be helpful to have a light switch by the bed; I had to turn it off by the door and walk across the room in the dark. There were plenty of kitchen utensils, though no hob, which I found a bit odd, but it didn’t really matter. The door was a bit rusty, but for the price and location, I didn’t mind. The location was perfect, with plenty of breakfast spots nearby, and I loved the street in front. The Leake Underground Art was also a cool place to visit.

Awesome large bed and fantastic location. Lovely amenities and great shower |Wonderful little cafes all around the area. The area can be a bit noisy in the morning with usual street traffic from cleaners but the overall experience was fabulous

Found dirty cleaning clothes between the bed and duvet that cleaning staff left behind. The heating system did not work throughout the night and slept in freezing conditions. I reported this and the say they couldn’t do anything about it. Next day they refused any compensation and instead offered a discount for next stay. Outrageous. Avoid at all costs. While some things may be out of control as their broken heating, it all comes down to how they react and own their mistakes like not checking it was working or not leaving the bed dirty with filthy cleaning stuff. Terrible experience that means that if you have any problem, better you don’t, according to them.

Great find and somewhere we’ll use again and again. Very clean and facilities you simply don’t get in a hotel room. |The location is great, with some great bars and restaurants on your doorstep!||The room was very cosy and once the door shut, no outside noise could be heard.

Judging by the other reviews I’m so glad I didn’t stay here! We couldn’t travel from wales due to a storm and wouldn’t give a refund, I’m sure they make plenty of money considering the place must be so cheaply run and set up by the looks of the reviews, I wouldn’t stay here if you paid me!
