Absolutely unreal. Every bit of help she could give, within reason and was there at any point when required. Even the basics of “have a breather and come back to it” was very helpful. Made it a stress free learning environment. Went above and beyond in workshops, and made me feel very confident when working with her. I feel I could complete the portfolio very easily!

The trainer was really good, Only once I was left to do portfolio did I realise how out of date the materials were. Many repeated, ambiguous and misspelt questions making it difficult to get an understanding of what was required, resulting in struggles to find the right answer and multiple submissions before clearing the module. If you have dyslexia you will find it difficult without extra support. I completed the online course. The in-house course may be better as you have additional days of face to face training and support with the trainer. One particular part of the course, it transpires was never taught! Or available in the course materials making getting the answer almost impossible. The support paperwork, the question sheets and help notes suffered greatly with spelling and gramma issues, it also seemed to be out of date, we had to be told at the start of training that the government department had changed and reference in the materials was now different. The material related more to just passing the qualification rather than being in date and relevant. The staff were very friendly and helpful getting paperwork processed and loaded onto the course. Just let down by obviously out of date training material.

This is my third year with stroma
Yes I had some teething problems at the beginning when I switched but that's because I wasn't used to there software and programs but after a few phone calls everything got sorted half the price to do exactly the same staff go above and beyond to help you and sort any problems out in a timely manner.

I have had several problems with the the Stroma Tracker software, including random photos appearing on my reports and the total loss of three reports. When I have phoned the "help desk" they have been very polite but seem totally unable to help. The young man has told me that their software is out of date but it is used so little that nothing is liable to be done about it and his knowledge of the software seem very limited. Strangely whichever extension I phone they all seem to go through to the same young man. Shocking customer service!!

Matt presented the course very well at a good speed and always able to answer any queries that came up.
This is the second course I have done now and can not fault at all. Will be looking out for further courses in the near future.

In the summer I raised a complaint with Stroma as I have had the misfortune to have a Stroma registered electrician fail to register my work. This guy is no longer registered with anyone to do electrical work and won't answer Stroma's calls or emails so they have closed the case leaving me to foot the bill (one quote is £640 plus vat) to have the work certified by someone else. I asked about them providing an electrician to do this for me, as niceic do, free of charge but was told no.
Surely there is some protection for the end user Surely you have some responsibility to the end user?

UTTER CHAOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My company was put on the MCS database with the incorrect postcode HX17 which dose not even exist, you could find the company by name but most customer will serch by their own post code. I have been on this database since it was set up, i did not realise that my whole account would be zeroed by changing from ELECSA to STROMA. They had the wrong OFT outfit listed and i was not registeed for Solar Thermal at all for a whole year! Have gone through audit again I am back OFF the MCS database. I have made official COMPLAINT to MCS and am look for lawyer! I would have given them -99 start had i had the option.
