We very recently had SE Cambridge out to do a report on some potential structural movement, they were easy to deal with initially and when the engineer came out he was great. Charles was very knowledgable and easy to deal with, the report was issued in good time and was very very thorough. We will absolutely be using them again if needed.

I'm not sure that i can agree with negative reviews here after receiving our structural survey. We were incredibly satisfied with our report, the timely manner in which it was delivered and the detail in the report.

The survey was completed within two days of submitting the payment, we then received the report 2-3 days after that.
The report was incredibly detailed compared to previous reports i have seen (same property). It contained detailed recommendations on the minor and major issues and provided details/estimate of repairs for the work.
Additionally, this report had actually added minor work and its cost - the previous report from another structural engineer only provided the minor issues with no explanation or cost. The report had even included recommendations for keeping our dated property well ventilated and free from damp in various areas of the property. I was incredibly impressed with the overall detail added to the various issues.

Andy was incredibly helpful. He offered to answer any questions regarding the report, we obliged and his response (within an hour) was detailed and honest.

The report was detailed and incredibly insightful, the service was timely and professional and we would highly recommend.

I contacted SE Cambridge as am in the process of buying a house and was advised it was of steel frame construction so needed a survey to obtain a mortgage. I spoke to Andy who was incredibly knowledgeable about this type of build and sent through all relevant information the same day.

In instructing SE Cambridge to proceed they very quickly liaised with the estate agent to arrange access to the property and carried out the survey within 2 working days. Within 48hrs Andy had sent me the report as was aware we were working to tight deadlines.

SE Cambridge have exceeded my expectations and provided an excellent level of customer service which is sadly quite rare these days. They went the extra mile to ensure we had everything within a by short period of time. They were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful throughout.

I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Outstanding and prompt service. We were let down by another local firm and Hamid from SEC came to the rescue, he came out the same day we called and took measurements for our wall removal, and delivered our calculations a full 24 hours ahead of our agreed timeframe. Some of the best service I've had from any professional services company I can highly recommend.

Contacted at the beginning of October, Andy came very quickly to visit my home. We need to knock a wall down, very easy job, but he is so busy then I month later I still have an hole on my ceiling and I left 3 message to his office, and no recall…. Then I wasted a month. Avoid this company

We needed a detailed structural survey done on a property. Justin helped us identify what needed to be done exactly and carried the survey out within a few days. We received the report and talked through it with him in detail afterwards, very pleased with the level of service.

I was very disappointed by the service I received from Cambridge structural engineers.
I had to chase Andy Chapman Continuously from when he visited my property. He didn’t respond to my emails & when he did he said the same thing” your report will be with you in a few days” ( and of course it wasn’t ). Little did we know at that stage we were still needing another visit. I found him very rude to myself & to my builder. This project was so small & in the end took 2 months to complete.
Having any work done to your property can be a very stressful time & he raised my stress levels a considerable amount.
However we did in the end receive our report which I would like to thank Grazia for.

AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Appalling customer service when making a serious complaint based on their inadequate work.

It took over a week for them to reply to our complaint email after using having to chase them. Once we managed to get hold of them to speak on the phone they promised to call back the next week and never did. We then had to chase. Again.

They replied the same day when booking their services and arranging payment to them but seem incapable of this when asking for a refund? More than happy to take your money but less than happy to help rectify a problem.
