I have worked with the Ecology Co-op for the past fifteen months. Initially they carried out a bat scoping survey of several buildings on the site - identifying one as being a likely destination for bats. They then carried out three emergence surveys over the summer of 2021 and hibernation studies over the winter. In each case bats were identified and The Ecology Co-op has now applied for a bat licence on my behalf in anticipation of carrying out building work on the property.

I have found The Ecology Co-op very professional and responsive. They have fitted into my schedule and, where they were busy, I was given plenty of warning that they would not be able to visit for a few weeks. In the event that we needed to change the date of a survey because the weather was too poor, they were flexible and rescheduled the survey without any fuss. The quality of the written surveys was good and more than satisfied the local planning officers.

We will be working with a naturalist when the licence is granted and the bats need to be moved and I am sure that The Ecology Co-op will look after the bats as well as they have done me.
