Fabulous meals here. The brisket is melt-in-your-mouth delicious. All the sides are super good. The creamed corn is sweet and good. You can ask for the wings to have no sauce or on the side. The sauce is relatively spicy. You'd never believe it but the catfish is wonderful!

Food was absolutely delicious! Everything I had was spot on and this is now my new go to for bbq ? daily specials, which are great! Mac and cheese and jambalaya sides are to die for ? absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for very good barbeque at an affordable price with a great atmosphere ? the blueberry pie was spot on ? definitely excited to go back and have their best wings ever (again) ? actually was nervous coming here for a first date and it went so smooth because everything was perfect! Can't wait literally to have some of their other dishes ?

I have eaten here 3 times in the past 6 months. The first visit was on a slow day, and the BBQ was old, cold, dry, and tough.
I gave it a second try, thinking I went on a bad day the first time. SAME experience.
I went a 3rd time hoping to catch them on a good day. Wrong... 3 Strikes.
The Server delivered the food to the wrong table, there was only one other customer in the place, so we swapped plates.
I had the 3 meat plate. Small dry tough brisket, OK ribs (2) and chicken.
The chicken and side of scalloped potato's was good, but that is all I can say positively.
For the price, the quality and portion is not worth it.
There are many better places to go.

If you are in the Austin area, you can do far better than Green Mesquite. Texas BBQ restaurants normally take great pride in what they serve customers. This place is the height of mediocrity.

Their bbq sauce is in a bottle on the table ‍♀️soooo nothing is marinade . Gave me some unseasoned pull pork on a bun . . Fried pickles salty needs to change the pan they put it in. Cold slaw - not cold.
I've had so much better just off of a person on the street .‍♀️

Order the smoked wings. Great! Bubba tacos...great. last time I had a chicken fried steak....tender, tasty. Fried okra. Great. Not a good place to eat brisket. Overall a good joint. Been going to the barton springs location for over 20 years. Love green mesquite. Covid I think put this place a little behind in the service industry, but order what I said.

We absolutely love this place. We love all three locations but this is probably our favorite location out of all of them.

My husband ordered the Philly cheese steak double meat which he absolutely loved. The focus was all about the meat which was excellent quality and double means extra extra. The bread with fresh the cheese was melty and yummy and he thoroughly enjoyed it.

My absolute favorite... from this particular location of specially, is going to be the smoked Wings which I get the sauce on the side. This is the best place I have found in all of Austin for some really good chicken wings. They smoke them and then I think they might fry them afterwards to give it that nice crisp to it but they don't put breading on it which I love because I do not like breading on my chicken wings. They also seem to be bigger and plumper at this location as well. The buffalo wing sauce is really really good and does not taste like bottle sauce at all like a lot of places do and the blue cheese is fresh and really good.

We also enjoyed a couple drinks. I got the Chardonnay wine and my husband got the draft Fireman's 4 which was served cold and0 promptly.

The service was outstanding. Our waitress, Balinda, was very nice and sweet as well as prompt and attentive without being hovering.

We really enjoyed our visit here. Thank you for the awesome food and terrific customer service.
