Worst mistake I made was buying my solar system through this company.
On the positive, Barrie is a real asset to the company and goes above and beyond, however, that is the only positive. I should have followed my gut instincts and cancelled this contract as soon as things failed to go according to plan, I would have saved myself a lot of stress. I would strongly urge you to ignore any response that the director, Matt Walker, may provide as he obviously needs to protect his company but he alone is the biggest problem as he truly believes that he can run his company as he sees fit, regardless of regulation and legislation and the customer's view is irrelevant to him!!

This is a small company in Essex who uses contractors to complete installations. They do not have contractors in West Wales and the contractors they used for my installation (from South Wales) had not installed this system before.

They advertise that the workmanship is protected by HIES but they have moved away from these insurers and are now with IWA. This is not reflected on their website. I still don't have a copy of my warranty and my installation took place 4 months ago.

I would put this review on Which too to warn others as they were a Which Trusted Installer but I can't find them on there anymore despite them advertising as such

I took a great deal of time reviewing the companies prior to my decision to proceed with this company and built up a good relationship but this changed instantly when I put in a formal complaint having been messed about at every stage. I saw Matt's true colours then as I asked for compensation!! He is not a nice person and is not competent in project management. Yes, it is actually the Director who organises the work and if he's not there nothing happens!

If I had known this at the outset I would not have gone with this company as I can't imagine they will be around to support the lifetime of my system and you really need them as Sigen is Business to Business.

My advice would be save yourself a lot of stress and hassle and use a competent company.

Note: The negative review just before mine seems to be from the electrician who commissioned my system. The original electrician had not installed a Sigen before and spent quite a bit of time on the phone to their installers helpline. He was not sick but was unable to provide a date when he could return to finish the job. Matt then contacted Paul to get him to finish the job. One of the delays I experienced was because the scaffolders failed to arrive when planned. I wouldn't be surprised if Matt played the same stunt on them which is why he received an email the day of the planned scaffolding erection to say they wouldn't be coming. He told me it was because it was too far 🤔

Back last October, Matthew from the renewable energy company touched base seeking a company to help them finish a job in west wales. His electrician fell ill and left them unable to finish a solar PV job. We agreed to help him for a small fee of £850.00. We accrued further costs for additional cabling and sundries to the tune of £250.00. We subsequently finished and commissioned the work and issued the commissioning details. Typically, we have not heard from him since! He doesn’t respond to any calls or messages.
Companies like this make me sick, avoid at all cost as these are rip off merchants!

Had a Solax hybrid inverter and master battery installed and have not had any problems since installed. Jeremy Cobb is definitely the go to guy knowledge wise as he knows everything about the systems and apps and how to operate them efficiently and effectively. He is very informed on everything so definite favourite, thank you Jeremy 😁🥇🥰💯🙌 The installers did a great job and especially for such young lads so thanks guys, really impressed 🙌💯 Keep up the good work renewable energy and spread that green energy coz definitely worth the investment, I can run my entire house for £25 a month now, thanks to the battery & saving for a slave battery now to be even better. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙌 wish everything was cheaper to buy though 😉

Cannot recommended this company highly enough. We had panels installed by them in November and everything went smoothly which is not what we expected after our last experience with green energy. They gave us everything we needed to learn first of all, which for us, we really needed. When we were ready, they arranged absolutely everything, the scaffolding was erected the day before the workmen arrived, these guys were polite, tidy and my god, they were fast. We were then showed how to use our mobile app and I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Very happy with the work they done. I had our solar and battery fitted, then had them back to add an ev charger for the wife’s new car. Would have gave 5 stars if their delivery was on time (arrived at gone 1 o clock when it was booked for 10am!!) I was notified but it was frustrating because it meant the solar took two days to complete. Other than that, no complaints whatsoever.

I am an awkard customer to say the least. I know lot about the Solar and inverters, batteries and what they do. Before speaking to the Renewable Energy Company I had thrown out more than one company for trying to sell me a package that suited them and not me. Or for being unable to answer important questions.
This was not the case with REC, they knew their products well, listened to what I wanted and why, advised me in good directions but gave me options too.
I ended up with a bespoke system of 19 panels on an east/west split. I have a strong inverter and large battery that serves me well for the things in my house and I am seeing good savings already.
The installation took two days in all, and here again REC were exemplary, my install proved more awkward than either of us expected. However they stepped up and dealt with the extra problems without complaint and I am now a very happy customer.
My only complaint was that they left a little rubbish behind, I have informed the owner of this and they have accepted this as feedback and apologised.
