My tenant's kitchen ceiling collapsed due to a water leak in the bathroom above. Having left it to dry out, it was noticed that the original ceiling had been overboarded as there was Artex on the existing ceiling.
The Testing Lab was recommended as the best way to determine if the Artex contained Asbestos.
Artex samples were readily available on top of the overboard ceiling and were mailed to The Testing Lab, double bagged, following the instructions on their website.
Payment for their services was either by Credit Card or Bank Transfer and the results were emailed in 3 working days.
Fortunately, no Asbestos was found in the samples supplied and importantly, I have a certificate that states this.
I am delighted, not only in the absence of Asbestos, but also the efficient & professional manner of the transaction, at a very reasonable cost.
I can now go ahead with the plasterboard replacement, with having to use Asbestos Removal specialists.
