Had an awful experience at Tool station in Wellingborough last year only reason why I’m bringing it up now is because we had a similar experience with Shannon again recently. Last year my partner went in to purchase a new drill which was a Dwalt anniversary drill. Came home realised it was faulty within the first 24hrs took it back next day received a massive lecture on how it had to be sent away to be looked at my consumer rights is within 30 days of purchase. My partner needed it that day to do a job in the house only way I could get a result that day was to except the display model. The person who done this was called Shannon the bad attitude which came with the drill was awful. No human should ever been spoken to like that especially in front of a shop full of people. We won’t be using tool station no more the staff at Screwfix are much nicer.

Absolutely first-class service. I went in with a DIY issue that I had no idea how to solve. The guy in there (annoyingly, I can't remember his name) took the time to really listen to the issue and then managed to come up with a creative solution. In the end, I only needed a few nuts and bolts etc, which usually come in large multi-packs, so the staff member managed to sort me out with just the number I actually needed so that I did not need to purchase the big multi-packs. The whole experience really helped to restore my faith in customer service. Next time I need anything hardware-related I will definitely going back.

Been using Toolstation for years .And today don't believe how I was treated by staff. Bought a petrol strimmer yesterday, and for 5 hours I tried to get it started and had no luck. So today less than 24 hours after buying it. I tried to take it back to the shop to get a refund. Consumer rights say that you can bring a faulty product back to the place you bought it from within 30 days.And and they should give you a refund. I was greeted with negativity from the start saying I have to phone the manufacturer and get a refund. After me telling then I'm in my rights to get a refund up to 30 days . After they told me that I was notified when buying it that I would not get a refund because it was a petrol product. I asked where on my receipt what said nothing and under display products what is in the showroom it said nothing like that. I was told that I was being aggressive put all I was was getting annoyed the negative response from the staff. They made me feel so small and and pulling funny faces at me. They were just trying to wind me up. So I phoned up customer complaints and John at customer complaint said that I'm in my rights to take you back I told him that they will still wind me up. Went back down there and told them John had put some thing on system to change it. But I was greeted with banned from the shop for being aggressive. All I was was angry how they were treating me. They told me that you've got no chance of getting exchange and so I tried to leave the item there and I said take it you've got no chance of getting a refund. So then I phoned up customer complaints again at Toolstation and spoke to Liz she agreed does that the same what John said. Now I have to exchange it at Kettering branch I have been using this Wellingborough Toolstation for years . I've asked for them to get the CCTV footage show the way I was treated in a way that was pulling faces at me. Totally gutted about away they treated me . Where has customer service gone these days 😕

The lady with glasses on the counter was very rude. I asked about a price match guarantee and she said sometimes the manger does look at it but not always. When she brought the pump, which was £248 at Tool Station and £180 at Screwfix. I asked her if the manager could review. She did check the price but decided not to put it thru to the manger. She then puts the box on the counter and says in a very demeaning way that “if something goes wrong with the pump after being used, don’t bring it here. It needs to go to Salamander”. I have. no clue why she as so angry as I was very polite with her. Also, I think it’s unfair to not price match only because the local screwfix coincidentally didn’t have the pump today but was available for delivery tomorrow or could have been collected from a farther store. I did not argue or insist because I felt that she would be more aggressive . Appalling customer service.
